OK, this may seem rough, and please note, I do all I can do to support all military owned businesses, but guys, c'mon man, you dropped the ball today. 06/20/25 . I went into the Carmel Valley joint today at 4:30 p.m, I wanted to get (2) slices of pepperoni and a drink, there were 6 or 7 slices of pepperoni under the lamp, the worst looking pizza I have ever seen, it looked like they were painted on a cardboard box.
I asked the guy at the counter, how long have these pepperoni slices been sitting there, he yelled to the back and asked "how long has the pepperoni slices been sitting here", the guy yelled (almost proudly) since 12:30. That's 4 1/2 hours!
I think the worst thing was the reaction from the Flip team, when I said, I'm going to pass, the pizza looks awful. The guys at the counter said "Oh, OK". (that's it)
I mean it's near dinner time, can't you have a semi-fresh pie out and ready?
Business 101, presentation is everything, or at least, fake it like you care about not losing a loyal customer.
If I were the owner, and witnessed that, I would lose my sh*t.
"Just be better guys", people want to support you, but you have to at least care about them and offer them something better then 4 1/2 hour old pizza. I mean, really?
I'm just a veteran, asking my brothers to care about what you do and who you serve.
4 1/2 hour old pizza near dinner time won't get my business, maybe I'll try one more time....
Read moreWe ordered through Doordash. Unfortunately, when we received our order, Flippin pizza had forgotten our calzone. We called Flippin pizza to let them know our calzone was missing. The young lady who answered the phone had no idea how to resolve the issue. She also showed no concern. She said, "Yeah, the calzone is right here". I was like soooo ... ??? Then shockingly, she suggested that I call another Doordash driver to pick up the calzone. I explained to her that it was her establishment's responsibility since it was their mistake. Her lack of knowledge and nonchalant attitude was very disappointing. I asked for her supervisor. * I heard her curse and speak disrespectfully while handing off the phone. Due to us not wanting our food tampered with, I did not want to tell the supervisor until after we received our food * Thankfully, the gentleman in charge had wonderful customer service and problem solving skills. He apologized, took immediate responsibility for their mistake by sending his employee to deliver the calzone, and included a free order of garlic knots for our troubles. The delivery person was also apologetic. I appreciate the professionalism of the supervisor and delivery guy. However, the young lady should be let go for her incompetency and...
Read moreI don't eat cheese, so my partner and I always order our pizzas with half no cheese, and Flippin' Pizza is always SO good about making sure it's not on there, and that there's oil added to make sure my side doesn't get burnt to a crisp! They're the only place that has never ever even once given me unwanted cheese, which I know is a strange request for a pizza, but I appreciate so very much that they always make sure it's done right!! They even made sure I know there's a little bit of cheese in the marinara sauce!
My weird cheese issue aside, all of their food is absolutely amazing! The garlic knots are incredible, they have a great variety of both traditional and inventive pizzas with perfect dough, and the staff are all always very friendly and helpful! They feel like a classic local pizza joint, and we always look forward to...
