This place was wild. Killer Whale Creamery had one of the most insane selections of flavors I have ever seen. It was almost overwhelming—in both a good and bad way. Every single description sounded phenomenal, which made it so hard to choose just one. I ended up going with the ube pancakes and matcha swirl, and wow. It was way too good to pass up. It had actual pancake chunks in it that gave it a nice texture and flavor twist from your typical scoop of ice cream. I also got cookies and cream, which is my go-to and favorite flavor. It was perfectly creamy with just the right amount of Oreo pieces mixed in. I tried a few others too, including the Killer Whale Vanilla, Strawberry Coconut, and S'mores on the Beach. Every one of them was crazy good, but the ube and cookies and cream were the winners for me that day. Next time I am back in San Diego, I am absolutely coming back here and getting more. I might just grab a few cups and go all in, FORGET THE CALORIES BRUH The friends I was with got the cookies and cream and the coconut coffee and were just as happy with their picks. Everyone walked away impressed. Definitely a spot I would recommend to anyone looking for fun and creative ice cream flavors that actually taste as good...

I was excited to try this ice cream as its advertised that it's a creamery, but it was watery and icy! I tried the strawberry maple walnut, cookies & cream, horchata churro, and the vanilla Chai. All of them were pretty watery and icy except for the cookies and cream, but it was still just fine. The vanilla Chai was better than the strawberry, in terms of the strength of the flavor and iciness. Also, I love churro ice cream, but this one tasted and felt like they just froze horchata and called it a day (it had a lot of potential!!!) I also agree with other people that the waffle cone was hard to eat, literally. It was hard to chew. For $5/scoop, it is a good deal. The young man working at the counter provided fine service. However, there should be more people working at the front. I don't think I'd come...

Literally the worst ice cream experience of my life. Took ten minutes for the worker to come out. I asked how many vegan flavors were available I was told there were multiple Then when I asked for scoops of them, I was slowly told that only two were left. When I tried to taste them I literally couldn’t even tell there was ice cream on the spoon to taste.

Attached is a photo of the “1 scoop” I received. This is COMICAL. Probably less then 2 ounces of ice cream, it looks like someone already ate half of it but no! This is untouched and cost $5! Bonus, they didn’t have lids, and my friend couldn’t get their ice cream because I got the last scoop of it 😐

The worker had an attitude and I definitely won’t be back.

Avoid this place...

A new ice cream shop opened up in La Jolla! They have very creative sounding flavors and a bunch of non dairy options as well. I sampled the ube pancake and then decided to I try a scoop of the Surfside strawberry cream with maple walnuts which was tasty, I really like the walnut topping. I wish the flavors listed out what was in them because I’m not overly sure what else was in the strawberry…there was cake or something else in it but I couldn’t find the description.
