Ordered the spicy fish and chips and a bunch of other things, including a plain salmon taco for my son. The lady taking the orders in the front told me that the salmon taco comes with nothing but the salmon on there and cabbage. When I got the order, it had cabbage tomatoes, and it was sauced down. Drenched. That was fine. I just took the salmon out and tried to wipe it off But what was really bad was that my fish that I ordered with the fish and chips was black. It was plain out burnt. I went back and told And showed her my fish and pointed at the picture that they have up on the menu and I let her know that this is not right, these fish are burnt. Several other customers were there and were looking in shock because the lady in the front said no those are not burnt. They are the spicy fish and chips, which is what you asked for. I told her that what makes it spicy is the sauce not the batter and that the fish is not darker because it is spicy. She kept shaking her head and was upset and made another order for me for fish and chips. I waited for about 10 minutes and she came out with only the fish. I said where are the chips and the coleslaw that it comes with? She brought my plate back that I gave her and said here take your fries and your coleslaw off of this one. I just took the burnt fish raised it up High so she can see it and threw it in the trash so that she can see that I’m not trying to get extra food. Not sure why she did that. Also was looking to order some food for a friend who was not here yet and I asked the lady before we ordered, when can we place the last order. She said 10 minutes before we close. Remind you, they close at 9 PM. It is 830 and I hear her tell A customer while I was waiting for my order, that he was gonna be the last order for the kitchen. I reminded her that she said it was 10 minutes before they close which means It’s supposed to be 8:50 PM. She said no sorry we’re closed. The sad part is, the food is actually good. But the service is absolutely horrible. Also around the 830 time, one of the coworkers came back to the back patio and told everybody that the patio was closed and started kicking everybody out.. Remind you, I have already received my food and I’m waiting for the remake of my fish and chips. I’m with my wife and our one year-old son. We get kicked out of the patio. Have to pack up all of our stuff. It was just horrible. Like I said the food is actually good but the service is why I will never return here. They need to do better with their staff. I leave this comment here to warn you all, but also to let the owner of this establishment. Know that his/her employees...

Located in Seaport Village, lies a good ol' fashioned fish fry. Marion's Fish Market serves up various delicacies of the sea, mostly fried. On a tourist stop before heading to Barona Resort & Casino for the weekend, we were in need of some lunchtime nourishment before proceeding onward.
Fish & chips is a popular choice at Marion's, but when I saw the signage advertising "Bucket Mania", I gathered new options to decide upon.
Bucket Mania it was, with fried oysters, fried calamari, a fish taco & fries. Not quite the "bucket" I was expecting, I was met with a small tray of 4 fried oysters, calamari rings, a mini-sized fish taco & fries, for $13+. The highlight of my "bucket" were the fried oysters. They were deliciously good. The calamari were sufficient, and my mom seemed to enjoy her fish taco. In it's entirety, the "bucket" tided me over till Barona's Seasons Fresh Buffet later on for dinner. I wasn't looking to eat too much, and I got exactly what I wanted.
My brother & sis-in-law ordered their usual fish & chips, and I had a case of food envy. The breaded mahi mahi fillets were large-sized & seemed heftier fare. C'est la vie! Next time!
Service was good. The lady working the register comped us free drinks, which was a nice gesture. There wasn't an abnormally long wait before our food was ready. Seating is via tables & benches in & around Seaport Village. During our Friday visit, a guitarist was singing acoustic tunes for our listening pleasure.
Parking is at Seaport Village, but I'm unaware of how their validation works.
Marion's Fish Market did it in a pinch on a beautiful Friday. Nothing amazing, for sure, but I did enjoy my little "bucket" of goodies, if a little perturbed that the "bucket" was lacking. Being around the bay, the scenery helped the experience. I'm glad I had the opportunity to try Marion's, and as long as you're not expecting something sensational, then you might find a pleasant lunch...

The vibe is effortlessly relaxed—families, couples, and solo diners all seem equally at home here. There’s no rush, no noise—just good energy and the comforting sounds of the ocean.
As for the food, it’s consistently outstanding. The star of the menu, however, is without a doubt the clam chowder. Creamy, rich, and deeply flavorful, this bowl of comfort showcases the kitchen's ability to elevate a classic. It strikes the perfect balance: not too thick, not too salty, generously filled with tender clams and perfectly diced potatoes. Served piping hot with freshly baked bread, it's the kind of dish you find yourself thinking about long after the meal is over.
Beyond the chowder, the seafood options are fresh and well-executed, with something for every palate—from grilled fish tacos to buttery lobster rolls. The staff are attentive and genuinely friendly, enhancing the overall welcoming atmosphere.
