This is my new favorite Persian food in San Diego. When we walked up we were greeted by a couple who drove down from Escondido specifically to eat here (one of them was Persian), and they helped us navigate the menu and the chef's specialties.
Everything here is fresh, flavorful, and masterfully prepared and seasoned. Even small details like the salad; the greens are fresh and crisp, the sauce is beautifully bright and savory without being overbearing.
We tried basically all the meats, and they were all exceptional. Standout favorites were the koobideh (chicken and then beef), which sounds like a cop-out but no, I've had a LOT of koobideh in my time and this is something else. The liver was also excellent, but be sure you like liver!
The chef-owner is welcoming, warm, and generous. Being a food truck, you will be eating either sat over a transformer on the side of the road, or in a converted RV. We loved it, being used to street food, so this was right...
Read moreWe’ve tried a good number of Persian spots around here — Bistro Kabab, Soufi, Aria, Orchideh — but let me just say this loud and clear to all my Persian friends: give this restaurant a try! We ordered the Soltani and Fish Kabab for takeout, and everything was solid. The koobideh in the Soltani was juicy and flavorful, the kabab barg was tasty (though it could have been better), and the fish kabab was absolutely awesome. On top of that, the owner, which was so MASHTI, was one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met in a restaurant. It happened to be his special Halim day, and he kindly asked if I wanted to try some. Honestly, I said yes just because he was so nice — and wow, I’m glad I did. It was fresh, rich, and absolutely delicious. If you’re in the area, please support this spot and its wonderful owner. Great food, and a true taste of Persian hospitality....
Read moreNamino Food Court offers a delightful culinary experience, particularly with its Tahchin, a traditional Persian dish. The Tahchin here is exceptional, featuring perfectly cooked rice that's golden and crispy at the bottom, encapsulating a generous filling of succulent chicken. What sets Namino's Tahchin apart is the subtle infusion of cinnamon, which adds a unique, sweetly spiced aroma that complements the chicken beautifully. The flavors are balanced, ensuring that the cinnamon doesn't overpower but rather enhances the dish. Overall, Namino's Tahchin is a must-try for those seeking an authentic and flavorful...
