NOBLE EXPERIMENT is here! Go towards the bathroom and behind the fake wall of kegs! AHH soo cool! you do need to make a reservation here if you want to go inside and have a taste of their drinks but I was stoked just to be in the vicinity. It's said to text a week in advance of the day you want and at midnight. but anyways this review is about Neighborhood.

I heard about this place through a friend when were in dire need of some food and she wanted to try here! Sadly when we arrived around 1030 they said they were no longer cooking food! So sad! and kinda strange that they stopped so early.

So i was excited when I came here for my friends 21st birthday to start off the night. The food is a bit pricey but pretty dang good. especially their homemade chips. I am a sucker for a good bowl of macaroni and cheese even tho i am just as satisfied with Kraft their jalapeno mac and cheese was mentioned so many times in reviews I thought I should try it. it comes in mild medium and hot. So...if you did not know...I am asian. and we asians LOVE our hot sauce. heard of siracha? and beacuse of this I have learned to go less spicy since you can always add more. I asked for mild on this dish and when it came out i literally tasted nothing. It wasn't even Jalapeno...it was mac and cheese with fucilli noodles. Disappointing and there was only one waitress there and she took forever with the orders so I just ate it...but the ambiance is nice and its in a good location so....maybe i'll give it another try some other time. but this first impression, if it wasn't for the good company that came with, I wouldn't be that...

Undoubtedly the worst service I have ever received dining out. I took my boyfriend here for a date after I had been there with a friend of mine that works at CH. When I came here with my friend, the service was amazing, and we were cared for and checked on multiple times. When I came here without my friend, and only with my boyfriend, we were shocked by the snobby attitude and condescending remarks we got. First off, they took my card and held on to it for our entire meal. At the end of our meal, they charged me out and didn’t return my card. When we asked another server about this, they told us it wasn’t their policy to hold on to cards, and they were usually returned. Did you guys think we were going to walk out? I literally can not think of another explanation for this. The waitress also scoffed at us when we asked what sides they had, and told us “what you see is what you get”. The menu literally has sides no where on it, so we had to scan the entire menu and the entrees to see what sides we could order. She also scoffed at my boyfriend AGAIN when he placed his orders with modifications. Finally, what kind of restaurant that serves burgers and fries doesn’t have ketchup? Honestly, not a huge deal, but the fact that the servers insisted on giving us a history lesson on their restaurant and how they’ve never served ketchup was a bit much. $165 for two entrees, two drinks, one appetizer, and horrible attitudes. Won’t...

Bottom line, Neighborhood is a namesake destination if you want delicious food, great cocktails, and chill vibes.

Service - The service was good. I would say it was exactly what should be expected. We walked in around 6:45 on a Sunday, it was open seating and not very crowded. Our server came to get our drink order a couple minutes after sitting down. We put in our drink order and they came out reasonably quick. We ordered our entrees and they came out in about 15 minutes. The server checked on us periodically. No complaints.

Noise/Sound - The music was perfect. The volume was just high enough to want to dance at the table, but you didn't have to yell over it to have a conversation. The genre was a mix of funky pop and R&B.

Food/Taste - I ordered the Young American burger (my new favorite San Diego burger) and my wife ordered the Charred Bone Marrow. Both were outstanding. Flavorful and cooked to perfection.

Drinks - My wife ordered a Berry Mix Fizz and I ordered the Old Fashioned (I'm so predictable). Her's was perfect, mine tasted like a run of the mill old fashioned. Not terrible, but as expected.

Price - The cost was fair. I'd say they're right on par with what you'd expect (generally speaking) and on par with everything in the area.

Will we return to Neighborhood in the future? Definitely. We want to try everything...
