Panda Express — Restaurant in San Diego

I don’t understand people. You apply for jobs, get a job, show up for work — and the way you present yourself makes it seem like you don’t want to be there. Believe it or not, this is a job where you interact with customers. Your body language and the way you handled yourself made me feel like you were thinking, “Oh man, I have to deal with this customer.” You can tell when someone doesn’t want to be approached. Your vibe was not pleasant at all.

You made me feel uncomfortable — I felt guilty talking to you to place an order so you could do your job. My hard-earned money is going to Panda Express, which in turn is helping pay your paycheck, so the least you can do if you don’t want to be there is at least fake it. Smile. Have a positive attitude. Don’t make customers feel unwelcome because the vibes you give off are like you don’t want to be there.

I am the customer who was wearing a black hat, red shirt, and glasses. I’m talking about the girl who served me between 11:00 and 11:10 AM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Whoever she is needs retraining on customer service.

Also: I was one of only two customers there. Several items were unavailable and the food was not hot. I will definitely not return to...

Dined here on January 8 with my wife and our 15-month-old daughter. We hadn’t eaten anything for about six hours beforehand, except for bottled water we’d been drinking for the past two days. My daughter ate some blackberries afterwards, which she had been eating for the past day without issue. About two hours after our meal, our daughter started vomiting and continued to do so nearly ten times until around 3:00 AM. We almost took her to the ER, but she finally fell asleep—only to vomit again the next morning. My wife began vomiting and diarrhea soon after my daughter fell asleep, and still does so occasionally next morning. I felt some mild stomach discomfort, which subsided halfway through the night.

It seems like mild food poisoning, though we’re not sure what caused it. It wasn’t severe enough to incapacitate us, but it did cause my daughter and wife a lot of distress.

Well, it's Panda. The one upside with Panda is that they are one of the most consistent casual food chains, and it really isn't too bad. Make no mistake, this is not Chinese. Not even close. But the vegetables are always fresh, the price is affordable, and sometimes it's simply the best choice you have. As a very health-conscious person I almost never find myself here, but when I do, I can find healthy options (brown rice, steamed vegetables, etc... if you don't know orange chicken is a calorie and sugar/salt/fat bomb, you may have some reading to do) and am never surprised by what I get.
