Hello I am writing to all the people who are thinking about eating at this specific location. Panera bread makes good food and it's always easy to order and get the food quickly. Recently this location has been lacking good customer service , keeping an eye out for the small details, and give a poor care to their own mistakes. This is the second time this week where I requested my food a certain way because of religious beliefs and allergies and they took the order out WRONG. This is severe and you cannot make these kind of mistakes. Also taking it out cold because its forgotten and then also having issues taking out the order right is something you should take responsibility for and not look at the customer as if they are the problem. Dont offer me a new one because you already took away my appetite. I for one am not going to eat there again.
And for everyone I am writing too.. if you are interested in eating at panera bread do it anywhere but mission valley. They dont take your order out right if you have specific requested so beware you have been warned.
This experience made me choked all the way to the top of my throat. I am not one to complain and I let go easily . But with this kind of treatment week after week I expect more from them and better awareness due to the fact the same mistake happened exactly a week before as well. So it's not for panera. It's for the regular clients like I was . To warn you guys that this is not run professionally and the disrespect I felt . It's just not worth it . Go to any...
Read moreHaven’t been to panera in a couple years but this had have been my worst experience at one. I worked at a panera 5 years back right when the caprese sandwich and salad came out. The caprese sandwhich came with halved cherry tomatoes, arugula, mozzarella and chicken.
I got the sandwich as a pick two yesterday - $7.50 for a half sanwhich mind you - and it came out with about 5 shreds of romaine lettuce and 2 slices of beefsteak tomatoes. The sandwich was 85% bread with barely any filling and no chicken (though it was listed without so I wasn’t expecting any).
The sandwich however was an abomination for that much money and I asked to switch it out for a different sandwich at the counter. The staff stared at me as if I had a piece of gum on my forehead and acted as if this request was unheard of. The manager said “I’ll do it for you this one time” but it felt like such a hassle for them. I got what I wanted in the end but the fact they think it’s okay to charge outrageous prices for such shitty food and then act as if I can’t have a complaint is insane.
I used to be an avid panera lover growing up but I think spending over $15 on a half soup and sandwich, with less than understanding service, and overall shrinkflated products nailed the coffin for me on...
Read moreIn the time of Covid, when they only offer take out food one of the most basic things to accomplish would be to make sure the basics are covered. But not here. Even when I specifically asked if spoons for the soup, knife and fork were included for other items, the server said “oh yes we are required to do so.” Well please tell me who required it so I can report you. So I called Darin, who I’d chatted with while placing the order who had been told we were in a hotel and who’s name tag identified him as “manager.” But Panera gives their managers no authority to main customer satisfaction or retention because while he was kind and courteous, he had no power to assist. If I drove all the way back from the hotel I’d registered at for a medical procedure at the VA Hospital, he could do something, so there’s that... but I wasn’t going to do that. A $5 gift card for a dessert on my next visit and a promise to speak to those responsible could have taken minimum effort, but he didn’t have the authority to do anything so basic. Shame on his bosses at Panera. There are plenty of places to buy good, but overpriced food. I’m on a...
