Point Loma Cafe is hands down one of the best spots in town for breakfast! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The place has a cozy, classic diner feel that makes you instantly comfortable. The breakfast menu is packed with delicious options for every taste. Whether you're craving fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, or crispy bacon, they’ve got it all.
I was especially impressed with how fresh and flavorful everything tasted. The portions are generous, and every bite feels like a homemade meal. Their coffee is strong and smooth—just what you need to start the day right. What really sets Point Loma Cafe apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you’re taken care of.
A huge shoutout to Irene, who made our morning absolutely delightful. Irene goes above and beyond to ensure her guests feel special. She greeted us with a big smile and checked on us throughout the meal. Her positive energy and attention to detail truly made the experience memorable. It’s clear she loves what she does, and it shows in her service.
Irene’s recommendations were spot on, especially the omelet bar, which was incredible. She made sure our coffee cups were always full and even gave us to-go cups without us asking. Little touches like that make a big difference. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely kind and professional. Irene is a true gem and makes the cafe shine even brighter.
If you’re in the area and love a great breakfast with top-notch service, don’t miss Point Loma Cafe. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreWe ate breakfast (late breakfast) here three times during our short stay in Point Loma. That was in mid December 2023. The food is so good! We had planned to try different places nearby but the food and service was so fantastic that we didn’t stray away until we had to go to Carlsbad. Worth noting, the biscuits and gravy are to die for! We are from Texas and my farmer grandma, (RIP Big Mama) could fry the chicken and bake biscuits and gravy fit for kings and queens. These biscuits and gravy were just as good, omg I can’t wait to get my other knee surgery over with and fly back to San Diego with my son. The biscuits were so fluffy, like clouds. I can’t recall at the moment what else we ate, we ate whatever the lovely waitress recommended, but everything we ate was delicious. And affordable. I just woke up, in a hurry, may add to this later to include what else we ate, my advise would be to ask what the waitresses...
Read moreFirst of all, the food was very good and tasty. I loved them. However, the tea I’ve ordered was served differently than the other guests. By the same server, the other guests received an empty mug, separate glass with hot water on a little plate with honey with paper lace on the bottom, and tray with various types of teabags. On the other hand, what I received was a mug with hot water, a plate with one teabag and honey. After the meal, I asked him why my tea was different than the others. He informed me that there are two ways to serve, but I am very sure he never asked me which I prefer. If i believe him and if there are two ways to serve, first of all there shouldn’t be two ways. Also, he should’ve explained before serving. You’re a international hotel chain, so just…. don’t differentiate people like this. I felt...
