Shake Shack's only San Diego downtown location is situated at a bustling corner of Little Italy, where both foot and car traffic are constant. The storefront is uniquely designed, with a massive, eye-catching Shake Shack sign visible from afar. While parking is challenging in this area, you can opt for nearby paid parking structures or use the conveniently located tram station within walking distance.

The large sign leads into a chill patio area surrounded by greenery and plenty of outdoor dining tables, making it an ideal spot to relax. The indoor seating area is equally inviting, with a glasshouse-style design that lets in ample sunlight. A standout feature is the wall decorated with branded wooden surfboards—perfectly reflecting San Diego's coastal vibe.

As expected from this famous New York-based chain, the prices are steep. However, they often run great promotions, such as free fries on Fridays or discounts on specific days. During my Sunday visit, they had a special where spending $10 earned a free Chicken Shack sandwich! With fries and a drink, I scored a satisfying meal at a great value. The staff was fantastic and even helped me input the promo code at the ordering kiosk.

I can't say enough great things about our event delivery order for 25 people! We reached out with email and immediately the corporate email put the local manager on (Bersain). From the start and throughout, Bersain was extremely responsive, attentive and helped me come up with a plan. Certainly a fear of "will we feed enough people at a reasonable price" and "can we have things individually wrapped?" and "will fries be cold/soggy by the time food is delivered?" were thoughts that crossed our mind!

1. same rate as the regular menu- no upcharging just because it was a large order/ridiculous catering "fee"
2. Bersain made good on having everything wrapped separately and went a step further and had things hand labeled (so folks didn't have to rummage around)
3. Food was warm after I had served my guests and then got to eat myself (host eats last!)

Bersain and the team at Shake Shake Little Italy totally made our event easy and eased our conscience knowing that they were on point. I wish I had known sooner they were so good at delivering a great experience-- I would have been less stressed out...

Not A Critic Just A Customer! *Five Thumbs Up * Abosolutely Fabulous!!!!! My nephew flew my sister and I out to San Diego for my cousin's Military Retirement and he took us by a few of his favorite places and this was one of his regular stops, guys let me tell you, we were out there a week ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those tasty Shake Shack Burgers! Those burgers were sooo delectable! I really have no words,,, ,,,, I wish they could ship me a few that would make my day but the fact that I ate the burger so fast says it all because I'm not really a burger person at least until I had Shake Sacks Burger, everything tasted so fresh, the lettuce, tomato, pickle, the bread was so fresh and the spread they used seemed like like secret weapon (lol) I wished I could've packed it up and brought it back with me , not to mention the fries were fresh and yummy, yummy, yummy as well!
