I booked a room over the phone for my brother who is currently homeless. When he got location, they asked him for a deposit, which he didn't have. deposit (though I am upset that that booking agent didn't mention that during the booking process). It was the fact that they wouldn't accept the deposit over the phone on a 3rd party reservation.
I was trying to pay the deposit over the phone and they said they wouldn't accept that. It wasn't possible for me to come to the location to pay in person, which is why I booked a 3rd party reservation. Also, I have booked over 15 times at Motel6 at this exact location under the exact same circumstance with absolutely no issue. If the policy is changed to now require a deposit to be paid in person on 3rd party reservation that is something that should be brought up by the booking agent.
When I tried to explain the situation to the location, the totally repulsive behavior we received by the agent at the location is totally unacceptable. He said my guest and I were suspicious and probably lying about the reservation details. There is also the issue of when the Reservation supervisor Logan called the location directly, he came back to the line with me and also confirmed that the local representative (Thomas, wouldn't give last name or title) was completely unprofessional and rude to him as well. Thomas then canceled the reservation instead of trying to resolve the situation with the reservation supervisor.
On top of that, when Logan found us another reservation at another location (a 50 min walk away, according to my guest), the agent there said we still had to have the credit card present in order to check in, even though the booking was set as a 3rd party reservation (this was not the reservations lines fault, the reservation clearly shows "3rd Party Reservation"). When I asked if they could charge the card over the phone since it was a 3rd party reservation, she said she would have to ask her manager. We waited another 30 mins and then my guest had to go find the local agent and ask for a status. When he did that the agent said yes she got confirmation from her boss to run the card as an exception. So, once she got this information, instead of talking to my guest which was sitting in the lobby waiting, she waited until we asked her for an update. At this point my guests are exhausted and frustrated and angry. This check in process started at 3:45pm and they didn't get into the room until 8:29pm, almost 5 hours to get a room. And after she ran the card, she had the audacity to tell me in a very condescending voice that next time I need to...
Read moreThis is the worse Motel 6! The staff is rude, and the rooms are filthy dirty. My horrible experience began on Friday, March 30, 2018. Twice that morning I had telephoned the front desk to enquire about an early check in, and was hung up on twice. My meeting ended early so I went to the motel arriving at approximately 12:45 PM. I inquired if there was a room for an early check in. The desk attendant who neither smiled or greeted me to Motel 6 stated, you have to check in at 3 PM. I asked if the motel had been sold out the night before and she refused to answer my question, stating that check in is at 3 PM. I walked to a restrauant and spent two hours there, and returned to the motel at 2:30 PM. I asked if I could check in realizing that it was not 3 PM. She gave me attitude, but did find a room for me. The was dirty, only two lights work in the entire room, and the t.v. was not working correctly. I took a shower and walked from bathroom to the bed, sat down on the bed to put on clean socks and the souls of my feet were literally black with dirt. The bathtub was also dirty, and in fact, I took paper towels from the trunk of my car and tried to clean it prior to taking a shower. The walls were so thin you could hear every conversation in the rooms next to me. On Saturday, March 31, 2018, I went to the front desk and advised that there was another reservation in my name for the 31st. I wanted a different room, because this one was a pig sty. I was advised that I would need to check out and return at 3 PM. I have never had to do that at any other Motel6. On Sunday, April 1, 2018 at approximately 6:58 AM I went to the front desk and advised the guy behind the counter that I had another reservation for April 1 and wanted to go ahead and pay. He stated that I had to check out and come back at 3 PM, I advised him that I stay in Motel 6's almost every month and no one has ever told me that before. That I would stay in the same room. He took my credit card information, loaded my key with another day. I went to sunrise services. Upon returning from sunrise services, a housekeeping person knocked on my door, and advised that I was checked out and not permitted in the room. I went to the front desk where the person working the desk told me I was checked out and needed to leave the room, she then told me that I never paid when it was appearing on my American Express for Sunday April 1. She actually raised her voice. Terrible...
Read moreIronic I would receive this request for review seconds after walking in my door reflecting on the amazing business trip and that this would remind me of the only negative thing in the entire trip and all the hotels I've stayed at over 40 years owning my own business & travel. Its not because its a budget-friendly Motel 6. I booked this room & called ahead to make sure that it was not only location friendly to all sites in a jam packed schedule but being a smaller facility with my temporary handicap easily able to enter my room vs a larger hotel that would require an immense amount of walking which I couldnt do. ( Traveled with my husband when terminal in his last years and extremely aware of special needs vs availability and the call ahead protocol to secure these rooms that are in high demand.) I took precautions to make sure this occurred & transport, airlines & rental car agencies were streamlined in efficiency. This was of no regards to Motel 6. Arrived at my hotel room in rental car at midnight & immediately was faced with stairs & reservation said no stairs! Greeted by the front desk: What did I want? Told her I couldn't do stairs was there somewhere else I could enter. NO & they were remodeling the lobby so I had to park in the middle blocking driveway traffic & Hobble dangerously up the stairs, after an extremely long process of getting checked in *on a reservation I go to my room & key does not work that night, it does not work the following night & barely after numerous tries Works my final night. The room is Bare Bones sheets thin, hardest mattress no washcloths, I can say it was clean. It was not a feel safe place & the same trash that was in the driveway on the day I arrived and & beside my car was there my entire stay until I left at 4:30 for my flight on Saturday morning! I truly try to leave great reviews so the one comment I have is that the gal who came to help me the checkin hostility &key replacement was very nice it but the 2nd night she then tried to say that the magnetic strip sometimes gets deactivated. This could not be the case, the key the first night I had it in my hand the entire time from the lobby to the room, 2nd night in protective sleeve. Not only would I not stay here ever again & not recommend the room; as an experienced former general manager of a very large hotel chain, the staff failed to report this obvious illegal activity and it felt very unsafe So thank you for asking me...
