The Cheesecake Factory has always been one of my favorite chain restaurants, since the San Francisco location opened over 20 years ago, when I was still living there. Over the years, I’ve been to Cheesecake Factories here and there, about a handful of times a year. I kind of love how the warm colors, lighting, and menu have not changed much over the decades. It’s a bit of nostalgia for me whenever I step foot in a Cheesecake Factory.
This occasion was during a shopping spree break, like most of the times I stop in now a days. The bar is my go to spot because it’s fun, lively, and you don’t have to wait as there’s usually waits for tables of 15 minutes plus. Over the years, my usual Jambalaya Pasta has morphed into a Perfect Martini & Lettuce Wraps. I love how they have the Skinny Menu to offer scaled down sizes, as well as, healthier versions of some of the popular items from the main menu.
My partner and I got Perfect Martinis, the Skinny Asian Chicken Lettuce Wrap Tacos, and a BLT. This is usually a good portion for a shopping break/lunch for us. But on this occasion, we bumped into some friends and ended up loving to their table. Of course we had to order more appetizers and Martinis to catch up. We also ordered Avocado Eggrolls & some sort of Taquitos thing. All was good as usually! The ingredients for the lettuce wraps are always fresh and that green cashew sauce is just addictive!
I’ve never had anything but wonderful service at any Cheesecake Factory and this location has always been good to me, be it a tame of super busy day. I don’t partake in the cheesecake anymore, but when used to, my favorite was the Red Velvet! If you’re just looking for a break during your shopping at Fashion Valley, or just not in the mood to shop while your significant other is shopping - just pop in plop yourself at the bar to enjoy a drink...
Read moreThe Cheesecake Factory, as a chain restaurant is already an excellent high-end establishment, and this location is no exception. It has a wide selection of foods and drinks ranging from Asian to Italian and anything in between. Every dish is prepared and stylized professionally with attention to detail and the staff are very responsive and ready to attend to a guest's needs. This means if you like a particular item but are allergic or averse to an ingredient the cooks and staff will go above and beyond to ensure you get that food item as you'd like it, within reason of course.
The same can be said for the drinks. With a wide array of mixed drinks, wines, and specialty non-alcoholic beverages everyone can get a drink they like. Further, this location also happens to have a bar.
Speaking of location, being in the Fashion Valley shopping center, this location is perfect for dates and days out. Being just outside of the main portion of the mall you avoid most of the noise from shoppers, and the building is just far enough from the main thoroughfare to not have constant traffic sound either.
And the building itself is a truly beautiful piece. The interior is decorated with earthen pinks, marbled black and whites, and wood colors. Pillars and fanciful glass surrounding dining areas, and the outdoor eating is on Italian-esque street furniture.
The only drawback of this location is prices. Expect to pay 15-25 dollars per person, and more if you get alcohol. It is far higher than many of the options at the nearby foodcourt, but it also is a far better experience. Just expect a rather large bill for large parties.
To put it simply, this Cheesecake Factory is worth high praise and earns a...
Read moreWe’re very disappointed. Have been wanting to go to San Diego Cheesecake Factory for a very long time and this 1st experience is definitely unpleasant. The Cheesecake Factory building is nice but other than that nada. The old man who took our reservation isn’t very friendly not even a smile or a greetings. The girl who sat us to our seat is very unprofessional and gave us a very bad impression to this place. She didn’t give any greetings either. Our table was wet so I politely asked her for a napkin so we can wipe it down and she was like “ IT’S JUST WET FROM THE PLATE” ok? So does she expect us to use our bare hands to wipe it down? Or the our table napkin that we’ll use to wipe our mouth? 🤦🏻♀️ It’s whatever, we just wanna eat coz we’re starving. My husband ended up wiping the table with his table napkin. After 6mins our server came to get our order. And thanks God, one of the person finally gave us a greeting. Food came was slow and the rice was old and dry. Thai Coconut-lime chicken doesn’t was weird and didn’t taste like one. There’s only 3 pcs of meat in carne asada steak . My chocolate shake is leaking. Seats were dirty and haven’t been cleaned some crumbs on the seat and old pastas. We have a baby with us and the placed us were the loud music is ( no consideration ). Saw a guy putting plates in the tables and he was hugging the plates LOL. So unsanitary.
We’ll never dine-in in this location ever again. Terrible terrible experience ! This place needs to set acceptable standard in hiring people so there customers can have a...
