Spitz - Pacific Beach — Restaurant in San Diego

I'm writing a review based on the food delivered. I have not been to this location.

I'm so excited that Spitz is here in SD! I've been to a couple of different ones in the LA area and was disappointed there wasn't one here. But now there is and all is right in the world.

Hands down the best falafels I've ever had. They're not too soggy or greasy or overly seasoned. They are literally perfect. Crunchy on the outside and soft and pillowy inside with the added bonus of a couple whole chickpeas. So so so so good.

The Street Car Doner Wrap was refreshing and filling. Every bite burst with flavor and freshness. The meat was tender, veggies were crispy, the wrap did an amazing job of holding it all together. All of that is pulled together perfectly with their garlic aioli sauce. I wish I wasn't so full so I could eat the other half. something to look forward to for lunch tomorrow 🙃

I ordered the meal so it came with a choice of a side and I wanted to try their sweet potato waffle fries. I don't think they had these when I lived in LA. I love sweet potato fries and these are my new favorite. Sometimes sweet potato fries are kind of bland and need a lot of additional seasoning to bring out their natural sweetness. I don't know what sort of witchcraft they are doing in their kitchen but keep it up! Hot, crispy, fluffy, so full of flavor. I paired mine with the lemon herb tahini, harisa, and fry sauce. All were amazing.

I don't know if this location has their sangria but if they do, they are pretty dangerous good. I ordered an Arnold Palmer which was very refreshing. I love that it wasn't super sweet and was a great compliment to everything.

This meal made me so happy. Bouncing in my seat as I'm eating happy.

What a great experience we had here on their first day opening. We are a group of three people who had just finished a conference and needed some food before we headed back on the road. Christina was the person who took our food order and did a fantastic job. She knew the menu well. We all ordered gyros and it tasted excellent.
