After seeing Sand Cloud ads on social media a gazillion times, I found out it's a local business and decided to check it out in person to see if I wanted to purchase their products. The store is located in a small building behind the storefronts on Garnet, so you have to go down a narrow pathway in between buildings to get there. It was a little strange and I am glad I went there during the day because I might've chickened out after dark. But rest assured, it is a-ok - it's painted in such a bright and inviting way. They had some sweatshirts and towels out front and more inside. I was excited to find that they had some designs that aren't available online. They also sell opened towels at a screaming discount (and I bought 3 of them). The store is shared with Randall's Sandals. Not sure what that is about.
The woman behind the register was polite and left me alone (which I appreciate, as an introvert). It did seem like she was more interested in reading her book than answering my question or ringing me up though. Most of the unopened towels have a picture of what the towel looks like on the package, but I found one that didn't, so I asked her what it was and she didn't know. She guessed a turtle, but I'm not going to buy a towel if I don't know what it looks like. They should have a binder with pictures of every design or something like that to be more helpful.
The towels I purchased are beautiful and high quality. They are actually softer than I thought they would be. I'm excited to take them out to the sand for a real test drive. I'll probably be a repeat customer, especially when...
Read moreOk, I'm giving them a 1 and I'll tell you why. I ordered a sweatshirt for my daughter that was $55 bucks. A lot off money but being only 10% went to marine life I was cool with that, but for those prices they should donate more. Over a week went by and still no sweatshirt in my mailbox. My daughter sends an e-mail and they said there was a problem trying to deliver it. I went to my post office and tried to track it and it was already on it's way back. I lived at this address for 7 years and never had a delivery problem. So, OK they said they would ship another one out right away that day. My daughter had shared (which I wish she hadn't) that she was leaving for rehab and wanted it because she new it would be cold and hell she just wanted something she loved while going through a difficult time. She was told she would have it the day before she left. Well that didn't happen and she was sad. Why in this situation wouldn't you overnight night to her, I would have even paid for it if it was offered to me. So for customer service you get a 1. I may try and buy her something again but for the amount of money things are ( really 35 bucks for water bottle) and only donate 10% I highly doubt it. That's all. No...
Read moreI ordered 2 x large beach towels for Christmas. I was sent 2 children’s bath towels instead. I have been trying to complete an exchange to receive the item I ordered. It has been impossible to get a response on how to get this resolved. I left a voicemail, since I can’t reach a live person. I received an email that they do not have staff to support phone calls and I have an open ticket already so they are closing a ticket. No idea what they are talking about with tickets. I haven’t been given a ticket number. I assume they are referring to their internal process. I have 2 emails one telling me to do a return, another that I received before that showing refund for shipping. I don’t have any instructions on how to do the return or how to exchange for replacement at the same price I had paid, as the price has now increased. I would expect since it was their mistake they would be more helpful in correcting their mistake. Update- Sand Cloud made this right and reached out and got me the product in the correct sizes. It just took longer than I’d expect for them to respond and the products I had originally selected was sold out & had to choose...
