YUM EXCELLENT

The Dodge is the best. Probably the best thing is that you can just walk up and get fresh slices that are amazing. This is very rare. When you see slices they look limp. Here they are great! Best when you come during a busy time so it's absolutely fresh. Always great. The cheese alone is an outstanding crunch.

YUM GREAT PIZZA AMAZING PLACE I got the dodge. Fresh slices in the front. Frozen takeout, save money. Full size pizzas with different recipes other than the slices. Amazing crunchy crust, super satisfying cheese crunch. Great place great vibe nice people.

JUST SENSATIONAL... TOP SD RECOMMEND I usually get the Dodge Pizza they always have amazing fresh pizza right there in the front. A guy was walking by and he said "pretty good is an understatement about square pizza. True.

SUPER DUPER... TOP SD RECOMMEND Pizza is delicious. It's crispy and it really hits. This is a very specialized place it's been there for 7 years and I think their hashtags are the freshest. They really specialize in a highly specialized type of pizza and it couldn't be more luscious. There's always fresh pizza at the front and you can immediately make one of many good choices.

LUSCIOUS.... TOP RECOMMEND Square Pizza is one of my top recommendations for San Diego. This pizza is luscious, amazing and really special. One slice goes a long way, I'm a nutritious eater and these pizza slices are lucious. When you walk in your just going to find fresh delicious pizza right in front.

UPDATING AGAIN

This is a fabulous place to get a really delectable slice. I go to get the Dodge detroit-style Pizza I just get one slice and I put a little oregano, parmesan cheese and garlic salt on it and it is just a 10 out of 10.

RECENT UPDATE

Square pizza is an underrated hole in the wall. It's awesome. I truly definitely recommend this place and it's very well hidden but just off of Garnet two blocks from the beach. This is a strong recommend.

I got the Dodge this time and I figured out that the missing ingredient for me is to add some parmesan, garlic powder, and oregano. That being said this is one delightful slice. Yes it's a little pricey at $6.72. however I'm highly nutritional and I appreciate the indulgence. To create satiation in my life.

To sum it up, this is an awesome location with good service and lots of personality. Great style, good service and basically everyone there is a pizza enthusiast. They have detroit-style pizza and a few different styles and you can just get a slice or whatever you want.

UPDATED REVIEW

This is definitely a place to know about. On certain things this place is truly sensational. Crispiness and lusciousness of the eating experience is amazing. I had the pepperoni pizza and I definitely think the problem is too little sauce so I hope that they can add some sauce under the cheese as well as the sauce on top of the cheese which doesn't cover the whole thing and is visually beautiful but it needs more sauce. That being said this places near perfect I think it needs more flavor sometimes but this is a really interesting place that is a very cute little place that is filled with very professional people and it's really a niche place it's a very good place I think this place is worth taking note of. Hopefully they can add what it takes for me to be really satisfied because all around it's really delicious.

I made my way to this pizza shop on a few occasions during my childrens spring break and family vacation and we had went in probably 3 times that week per my kid's request and the first 2 times were fine I called it in went in got the pizzas no big deal but the 3 occasion I went to get the pizza and was waiting for a slice to heat up and as it was being brought to me by one of the employees he made a remarks saying my name and shamoo (referring to the whale at 6 flags) then repeats agian and agian as he hands me the food then says My name one more time as he hands me the boxes. In shock and also having my son with me I just went back to our air bnb and Immediately explained the situation to my husband. He quickly called the pizza shop and asked to talk to the manager the owner was put on the phone and was Immediately defensive and rude accusing me of lying and saying he's known his employee for years and that wouldn't have happened. He also advised my husband to "come down to the shop and handle it" which my husband asked are you asking me to come fight you? Then the other employee was put on the phone by the manager and the employee explained that his nickname for another employee was being thrown around which was shamoo. But my question was my was my name being thrown around with that name back to back? And all the employee said after he was done on the phone with my husband was "well glad you got to the bottom of it"and hung up no Apology or remorse for disrespecting a customer. Beware of the owner he's extremely arrogant rude disrespectful and honestly a ticking time bomb talking to customers with such hatred...

Good Detroit style pizza. Awesome focaccia type crust thats light and airy. Tasty sauce and cheese. The taste lingers on for a long time and makes you crave for more. It's one such pizza that you won't get tired eating regularly. What stops short from becoming a great Pizza is the skimpy toppings.

I ordered their EL Camino Detroit style pizza and hardly there were any toppings on it! Few onion slices, few and small artichoke leaves and few Peppadew peppers! It was more like eating their Cheese pizza. I felt there's no need to pay $6 more for getting so few toppings. Can't believe such a popular and busy place trying to cut corners on veggies 😕 Felt let down after driving all the way for this pizza from downtown San Diego in the bad traffic and that too way away from my destination for this pizza. I hope it was a one off and not the norm. Will give it a second chance when I am in the area as it's really a good pizza.
