My parents wish they had time to review this restaurant so I’m going to help them with what they told me. Owners, I hope you read this today so you know exactly who was served what and maybe make a change that can cost someone’s health.

First off, they didn’t even get water. They had to ask a few times. So first roll came through. It looked and felt frozen, as if it was an old roll they had sitting, couldn’t even eat it. Did not looked prepped right then and there The second roll was essentially the same, but when he bit into it, he couldn’t even tear through it, it was so tough or old. I don’t understand how this is possible. They sent it all back and left so disappointed.

They eat Sushi everywhere and have had bad sushi before but typically it’s not because it’s frozen or chewy like this. I’ve never heard a complaint about presentation (how old the rolls looked) until now. They were shocked by the orders that people were coming in to pick up as if the place was good. They either stiffed my parents with old food or people don’t know the difference between good and bad sushi. Either way, congrats on the terrible experience, we’ll make sure to hit the gas station sushi before ever going...

Friendly people, clean, well kept, but feels like dining in a grocery store eating sushi from Ralphs. That's the high points and the rest was downhill from here.

Food came quickly but a few bites into my meal and my gluten intolerant companion spotted soy sauce. We explicitly asked when ordering. Thankfully not a celiac or it would have been epi pen time and possibly a visit to the hospital. Just a bout of awful stomach pain and bloating later on so, y'know, no biggie.

Then the sushi itself… you'd be better off going to Trader Joe's and grabbing a few rolls there for a third of the price. The fish was pretty solid but the rice was not even close to half decent sushi rice. A good half of the rolls had imitation 'crab' meat as the base which is like eating wet packing peanuts.

I've eaten my way across Japan and thoroughly enjoyed the sushi at 7-11, from the train buffet cart, and so on. So am down with everyday sushi. If you are looking for anything remotely authentic this is NOT the place to start your sushi journey. Disappointed given the high praise in the...

I work nearby and was very excited to learn this place existed! I ordered online for pick up. I arrived and was the only customer in the restaurant at lunch time.

The cost I paid was noticeably higher than the prices posted online on a menu I saw. The employee said my card did not go through and asked to see it again- I ended up getting charged twice which they refunded a few days later.

The sushi was grocery store style, pre-packed and not fresh with lots of rice that was not very good.

This was an unsavory experience not worth the around $30 for 2 rolls. I thought something was going to be off as soon as I walked in....

I’ve been coming here since this place opened, every experience has been a welcoming one and it’s nice to have a local sushi spot with friendly faces, I’ve brought my family here numerous time to take rolls to-go, and recently started dining-in they are very kind , always greeted with a smile they make sure tables are always clean, the food is to our liking, water cups are full, I love how they renovated the place and am very excited as to what they continue to do with the restaurant. Their rolls are authentic and always fresh!

I drove my friend up to San Diego from TJ. She mentioned she wanted sushi and her little baby had a long day so we wanted a place we could sit down and eat quickly. A quick search on Google pulled up Su Su Sushi. I love sushi and it’s really hard to go wrong with any sushi in San Diego because it’s all pretty fresh. Su Su is a simple place. You go up to the counter, order your food, and sit down at a table. We ordered pork buns and poke bowls. All of it was fresh and good.

Cold. And not the good kind of cold like a sunomono salad cold. No, this was salmon nigiri fresh from the icy depths of the freezer cold. The vibe inside? Imagine a dentist’s waiting room, but sadder. While the cashier/waiter was super friendly but even he couldn’t warm up the dead atmosphere. Honestly, this place might fare better as a grab-and-go spot. You’d expect low expectations and might be pleasantly surprised. But for dine-in? It’s a nope nope sushi from me.
