This little gem in the heart of Point Loma never disappoints. They have amazing sandwiches, super fresh ingredients and very well-balanced flavor profiles. The sandwiches are also huge, you really get what you pay for—one order can almost be two separate meals. My favorite sandwiches are the USS Nimitz, the Rockslides, and the OB Longhorn. They have really good potato salad as well as a nice selection of chips and sodas. Highly recommend this spot!

Update: Came back for the first time in a couple years and have to say I totally loved it again. I brought my great aunt and mom. They enjoyed the USS Nimitz, while I tried the Admiral’s Avocado Delight for the first time. It was pretty tasty! Though I think I’ll go for a meat sandwich next time. The potato salad was really good too—we were all surprised by how delectable it was. Still a sandwich champion of San Diego, and a must-try in Point Loma’s...

I in quite frequently & usually get the #1 the USS Midway. The sandwich is delicious I order it with whole wheat bread and to be heated with everything on it this is my favorite way of having the sandwich. Not only are their prices on par all their ingredients are very fresh and are very good.

One of my favorite things about this establishment is the customer service seems right on point. There has been a couple of times where the sandwich wasn't made exactly how I requested it to be they were more than happy to redo the sandwiches. Also they do have cookouts to where you can order tri-tips and whole meals for a generally Fair cost right off the barbecue. I believe once a week they also have poke that's very fresh.

Pros- Great customer service Best sandwich in San Diego Top quality ingredients freshly...

The atmosphere in the front area reminds me of a mom-and-pop shop, which is always welcome. The seating area in the back and the patio is interesting. I can see the surf/OB kinda feel they’re going for, but I don’t think it helps the restaurant for some reason.

I ordered a tri-tip sandwich, which was recommended to me by the person taking my order. I realized shortly after starting into it that the veggies and bread were reminiscent of something I would get at Subway. Additionally, I didn’t think the tri-tip was all that flavorful. As a result, I was disappointed by the experience. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I will note that I appreciate their hot sauce bottles that they...

WOW, what a surprisingly dried out, disappointing mess! I waited for what seemed like forever (probably about 15 mins) for this dense, dried out, sad looking sandwich. There were more employees in the building than customers, and yet it took FOREVER. It was SUPPOSED to be Turkey and Bacon (Nimitz on the menu,) but all I got was this nasty mess of dried out (God knows how old it is) Turkey, tomato and cheese. No bacon! Just look at the photo, it speaks for itself. Thanks, hope you're proud of such service. :-(
