Came here for a friend's birthday dinner and lucky for us it was their bingo night. To top off my friend's golden birthday (getting old) we played bingo and it was intense and fun. Sadly we didn't win any of the games but be sure to come back during bingo night again because they give away awesome prizes from free drinks, happy hour, restaurant credit to complimentary hotel stay.

Dinner was amazing. Our server (Jessie Belle) was full of energy, very courteous and attentive, and was honestly one of the best servers ive had in San Diego. She knew a lot about the menu and was honest about how each dish was.

We have gone to the Pearl on and off for 11 years. Tonight was the best yet! We sat Poolside. We had cocktails and Shishido peppers for appetizer. And we had the most delicious dinner ever. Pastrami short rib. OMG. Melt in your mouth and the risotto paired perfectly as well as the cornishon garnish. They have the Australian Shiraz/cab blend. I swear it was the best dinner I’ve ever had, and I am very particular. For dessert we had the tiramisu with the espresso martinis, the tiramisu was smooth with a crunch topping. Best birthday ever! Went for movie night to watch office space. It's a very small venue, the pool is barely bigger than a bathtub, and it's all super expensive. The food is ok, the drinks are ok and really expensive (downtown pricing). We couldn't hear the movie at all through all the chatter. I guess we are the only people who actually went to enjoy the movie experience. Unless you like the "retro" style (it's just an old hotel with a fresh coat of paint and new wood stain, it hasn't been renovated) and have money you don't like having, I would avoid this place. They get 2 stars instead of 1 because the servers and hostess are all super friendly...
