I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my fiancé’s birthday in a way we’ll never forget – a two-night stay on the stunning Minnow 39’ Yacht. From the moment we stepped aboard, we knew we were in for something special.
The yacht itself is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The spacious saloon is bathed in natural light and decorated with high-gloss cherry cabinetry, making it feel both elegant and inviting. We loved how the port and starboard Ultra-leather sofas offered ample seating for us to relax, entertain, and enjoy the breathtaking views.
The galley was fully equipped with everything we needed – a microwave/convection oven, three-burner stove, and even a coffeemaker, which made mornings aboard feel just as cozy as being at home. I also really appreciated the thoughtful design, especially in the VIP guest stateroom. The queen-sized V-berth and overhead hatch created a perfect atmosphere for restful afternoon naps , with fresh air and natural light streaming in.
Our stay in the master stateroom was nothing short of luxurious. With a full walk-around queen bed and separate private shower and head, it was the ideal space for winding down after a day spent relaxing on the water.
Another highlight was the outdoor spaces. The aft seating area was perfect for taking in the views, and the front bow sundeck offered a peaceful place to relax under the open sky. The safety and security at the harbor were excellent, so we could enjoy every moment with peace of mind.
Shaun, our boat coordinator, was absolutely fantastic. She was responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging, ensuring that everything was seamless from start to finish.
Finally, the location of the boat was spectacular – with breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere that made our time on board feel like an escape from the world. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family retreat, or simply a unique place to relax and unwind, this yacht offers everything you could want.
Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to create lasting memories...
Read moreWe recently rented a boat through Boat B & B San Diego for a long weekend. There were 2 couples and we rented the boat named Dances with Waves. We had the most amazing time! Everything was perfect beginning with a simple and quick check in. Shaun McMahon gave us a wonderful orientation onboard the boat informing us of all the amenities and showing us how to operate the various functions onboard. The boat was absolutely pristine when we checked in. Boat B & B San Diego even stocked our refrigerator with yogurt, fresh fruit and juice. The boat had all the amenities of an Airbnb such as dishes, plates, towels coffee, tea, toiletries, etc. The boat comes fully self-contained providing everything you could possibly want. The boat itself was beautiful and so comfortable from the beds to the salon area to the fly bridge with its expansive seating, which is where we spent most of our time taking in the awesome, 360 degree views. The location of Boat B & B San Diego inside the Shelter Cove Marina on Shelter Island is phenomenal. The views of the San Diego harbor and skyline were incredible and our source of entertainment day and night. The marina facilities were clean and we enjoyed barbecuing one night in the BBQ area for guests. The other great thing about the location is that you can walk to so much. The famous Bali Hai restaurant is right next door along with other great restaurants within walking distance. We loved walking to a nearby coffee/gelato established. Staying on this boat inside this beautiful marina was an incredibly special trip. Shaun McMahon and her team provided excellent customer service with the reservation process, check in and during our stay. I highly recommend Boat B & B San Diego to anybody considering this unique type...
Read moreI had the extreme pleasure of staying on Dauntless, a stunning, teak-lined Hampton 43 sailing vessel. It was my first time staying overnight on a boat of any kind, and I really can't say enough good things about the experience.
The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with a fridge, freezer, toaster oven, coffee maker and easy to use propane stovetop. I cooked a big breakfast most mornings and enjoyed eating them on deck while watching the sun rise.
The marina was very nice, as were the neighbors - who were all pretty quiet and tended to keep to themselves. I can't speak to the marina's showering facilities, as I took all of my showers on the boat. Water pressure was fantastic and I had more than enough hot water to get clean. Towels, a blow drier and toiletries were provided.
I enjoyed my time so much that I hated to leave and asked Shaun if I could stay an extra night. Thankfully she agreed and I was able to delay the sadness of my departure.
The only negative was the stream of party boats that drifted past every night blasting loud music, but they generally passed quickly and really didn't bother me much. I was typically in bed by 10 and it was always quiet enough by then for a solid sleep.
I took a charter and the captain was great. He was more than happy to accommodate my request to head towards the Pacific vs the city, and was very informative regarding the sights. I only wish I could have experienced Dauntless with the sails raised and engine off, but maybe next time... because there will definitely be a next time!
There are so many other wonderful things I can say, but, in short, the experience was exceptional. I can't...
