Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican — Restaurant in San Dimas

I am not sure if this was done by mistake or it is a company policy, but I was charged extra for salsa, pico de gallo and cheese for my tacos. As such, I was charged more than $11.00 for two tacos, a side of beans and rice, without any sauce (I was charged an additional $3.50 for the sauce,, cheese and pico de gallo). Did I mention that the tacos are advertised for less than $10.00? Times are hard and businesses are struggling, but this is ridiculous. Just imagine going to McDonald's, ordering fires and being charged extra for the catchup!!!

On to the taste ... it was a demotion from previous times when patrons were charged a fair price for the product served. The meat was semi cold and I started consuming my food about 3 minutes after leaving the store. This is just bad.

I am giving a two star rating for the two people who provided service, not the manager/cashier. If the price was not a company policy, then she was just charging to make sure that there was enough profit to cover paychecks. But, if the pricing was a company policy, then someone @ corporate decided to raise profits by charging for normally free/given items (who heard of a taco without sauce!).

Here is a hint for the corporate personnel bound to read this comment, learn from In-N-Out. They never charge for extra sauce; and no matter how much they raise their prices, their great service always brings back...

1st off - Wow Wow...WOW! I didn't even know about this place until it was name dropped by a very close person I know. The seating is plenty. food is AMAZINGLY fresh and delicious! more options than competitors...eh'hem (Chipotle) The servings are huge! I can't even finish my bowl! I love it! so many options to choose from and to make your own bowl- this place can feed an army! the meats/protein sections are so many, and so fresh and hot and delicious. the flavors were bursting on my pallet! they have four types of home made lemonade, and lots of options for soft drinks. their service is incomparable. the staff is clean, nice looking, very nice and patient! Ask for ARLENE and LISA! They are amazing!!!!!! How does this place NOT have 5 stars?! It takes good staff and clean unbelievable food and service to make this place run! Bathrooms were amazing and clean and smelled fresh and full of soap and paper. (Yes those that know me, know me) ;) The kitchen behind them was spotless! I'm going to make an effort and come here at least 1-2 times a week. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Let's give them 5 stars and go try them out! Trust me when I say this, you won't regret...

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE SO FAR!!! I usually do not post bad reviews but this just ruined my nicely starting weekend. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS! I ordered at this location because I am visiting a family closeby but we usually go to our local Cafe Rio in Eastvale and their service there is far so fantastic because of the amazing staffs. And i will say that customer care definitely makes a huge difference in a business! I was also in food industry way back and had never shown rude attitude to my customers, I would greet them and always carry a smile in me, because I am happy to serve them! But this place has an unwelcoming and rude employee, i should have asked for his name but not worth my day. I don’t think he should, in the first place even be at the front, he does not seem to like his job! Had me repeated my order 3 times with a rude tone—- how about adjusting your loud music to compensate to customer’s needs since this is a food place after all?
