God, I love this place. I travel for a living, and I get SO excited when I can come back here. The food is GORGEOUS and top-notch quality, even for Southern California, where I feel some of the best sushi standards exist in this country. I get the Tako Wasabi every time. It is amazing and most sushi places don't offer this. I also got the Ankimo again, which I just adore. This time I got the Pctopus Carpaccio, and I'm in LOVE with it. I also got the super fatty yellowtail, and I can't believe km saying this, but it might be TOO rich. I doubt I've ever said thise words. Haahhaaa. I also got the conch sushi. I'm glad I tried it, but it was just ok. I did, however try the salmon belly, and it was amazing! The one issue I have with this place is the music. Now don't get me wrong, I personally listen to a lot of what they play, but my boyfriend refuses to come back here, because he is a teacher and he can't believe they play music with the worst of the worst swear words in it, with children in the building. I think the owners need to consider that their teenage employees might not be picking music that's doing then and favors. I'm no prude. I have a total sailor mouth, but when children are around, I act like an adult. I would NEVER bring my children here, if I had any. Just saying. Otherwise, this place is my fav sushi place in the entire country. I just have to come...
Read moreUpdated Review on my 4th visit. Moving from 5 star to 3 star. The food quality has gone down, bulgogi was burnt. Timing of food coming to the table was horrible. My wife's sashimi didn't arrive until everyone had finished their food and she never received her miso soup. My sushi rolls, ordered as an appetizer, came well after the entree.
The restaurant was well staffed and although it was a Saturday night, it wasn't too busy. I watched as manager(s), servers, and sushi chef were casually talking with each other while food orders waited to be expedited to tables.
Disappointed as this had become my favorite Japanese place. I'll wait at least a month or two to try one last time as our first two visits were wonderful. Again this is our fourth visit in total. My 3rd visit in early June was just okay.
I want this place to be good! Fingers crossed 🤞
Original review from May 2022:
Great new place for Japanese cuisine in San Dimas. The food was fresh and very tasty, even my 3 year old loved it! We had teriyaki beef and salmon, and beef bulgogi along with a crunch roll. We will definitely be back, and we're bringing family and friends!

Read moreHow do you have items on that menu that are deceiving? I love salmon and eel. Found a roll that finally had both. Ordered it and when it arrived it looked a little different from pictures. Asked if this was the correct item, waitress said yes. Started eating it and it was just okay. Asked another waitress because this is definitely not what I ordered according to description. Another waitress came to tell me it's a typo on the menu. This item doesn't have the eel that I wanted. I told her I was looking for the salmon eel roll and she said sorry, there's a lot of mistakes in the menu. Why lie like this? The cucumber salad was gross as well. Literally cucumber with a little bit of fake crab meat. Do yourself a favor and don't order this stuff. The peppers were...
