Bar Brucato is an absolute gem and a fantastic new addition to San Francisco’s culinary and craft spirits scene. The concept is truly unique—part distillery, part fine dining restaurant—and it delivers on all fronts.
The stars of the show are their incredible house-made amari, and if you’re visiting, don’t miss the amaro flight—it’s a perfect way to explore the range and complexity of their creations. Their amaro-based cocktails were some of the most creative I’ve had —thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and full of depth.
The food was out of this world. Every dish we tried was spot-on, from the smallest bites to the mains—and yes, even the bread was unforgettable. The chef has done an amazing job curating a menu that not only stands on its own, but also complements the amari beautifully.
Service was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they’re offering. It’s clear the team is passionate about both the food and the spirits.
Bar Brucato is a must-visit—whether you’re a cocktail aficionado, an amaro lover, or just someone looking for an elevated dining and drinking experience. Can’t...
Read moreWe've had 2 fantastic visits at Bar Brucato and can't wait to go back again. First of all, the spirits are each unique and delicious on their own (I highly recommend the flight). That said, the fun doesn't end there. Every drink on the cocktail menu is delicious - and each of them features one of their in-house spirits, of course. They have variants of classics as well as inspired original cocktails. There's something for everyone, even tasty non-alcoholic cocktails.
During our first visit, we had some very tasty snacks like the cheese pennies and spiced almonds while we admired the heavenly smells from the kitchen. On our second visit, we ate dinner as well, and the food tastes just as exceptional as it smells. All of the dishes were incredible. We would be happy to eat all of them again.
Bar Brucato is a lovely addition to our neighborhood, and we're so happy...
Read moreVery cool little restaurant and bar with a great concept and stellar drinks. The food is good, but the real standout is the collection of amaro based cocktails (all featuring in-house liquors from their distillery located beneath the restaurant). The drinks are going to be less sweet than you expect, but if you like apertivos, you will be very satisfied.
For food the portions are smaller than I expected, but they do feature really seasonal dishes (we had a lot of stonefruit, corn, heirloom tomato on our menu). The roasted red pepper ravioli was fantastic with two great oils complimenting the corn soup style "sauce" which the ravioli sat in.
Overall, would go back 100% given there are enough other exciting options on the drinks menu to try and plenty of small bites and food to...
