Had heard good things so we wanted to check it out, but after waiting in line for 20 minutes, when we got to the counter, we were told their system had been down and that we wouldn't be able to order food.

I said it would have been nice for them to tell the large line of people, so that we didn't have to wait for nothing, and they just responded "yeah sorry we weren't sure how long it would last", yet it had already been 20 minutes.

I then suggested that they tell the rest of the long line, and they said "yeah sorry" again, and then didn't bother telling the rest of the line (which ended up leaving one after the other after finally getting to the front).

These sorts of things happen and it would have been okay if they had just told us, rather than wasting everyone's time.

We'll give it another try in future, but a disappointing first experience.

Edit: We've had a few good visits, the food is quite good, but it's really hit and miss as far as how long it'll take. E.g., it took upwards of 45 minutes for a breakfast wrap and burrito, even when the restaurant...

(Update) In case helpful:

Indoor seating: yes WiFi: yes, with protected password Restroom: yes, two Recommendations: Acai bowl for food and latte for drinks

Ordered the Homestyle Breakfast and Açaí Bowl, for coffee we had a latte with oat milk and another latte with almond milk. The food was good and the coffee was good too. Slightly on the pricier end, but felt that Açaí bowl was especially worth it!

Update: I’ll probably keep updating as I come back to the place, but so far I’ve had:

Food: Homestyle Breakfast, Breakfast Sandwich (with the works), and Acai Bowl. I like Acai Bowl the best so far.

Drinks: I’ve had latte w almond milk, capuccino with almond milk, matcha latte with almond milk. I like my matcha latte without so much foam (some places make it like 80% foam so there is almost no weight to the drink at all) and I like that here, it was rich and creamy instead of being foamy. I still think latte with almond milk is the best.

Pastries: For pastries, both coffee cake and croissant were good. I might try to get the croissant warmed up...

As a regular customer and someone who lives nearby, I’ve always loved visiting Reveille Cafe. The staff has usually been welcoming and friendly, which makes this review especially disappointing to write.

Today, I accidentally left a personal item at the cafe. When I returned about 30 minutes after closing, a kind woman who was cleaning tried to help me look for it, though she didn’t speak English. Unfortunately, another staff member, a young man, joined the interaction and was incredibly rude. Instead of offering to help further or taking my information in case the item was found, he abruptly said, “She didn’t find anything,” and ended the conversation with a dismissive “Cool.” He didn’t even ask what I had lost or provide any solutions, leaving me confused and frustrated.

I urge you to train your staff on how to handle such situations with better communication and professionalism. This experience was deeply disappointing and does not reflect the care I’ve previously felt...

We've been coming to the Mission Bay location since its inception circa 2016. This coffee shop has truly transformed Mission Bay. I can safely say that people consider moving to the area, knowing that it's one of the retail highlights here (alongside Gus's market and Spark), an excellent spot for brunch gatherings and coffee meetings. It's not only conveniently located in the heart of the neighborhood and close to the kids' park, but it's super well maintained. The premium loose leaf tea selection is a contender for top 10 in the city. The staff is amazing and remembers my quirky requests about which tea mug to use, and they would keep me updated on tea shipment updates when out of stock. Special shout-out to the management team that's worked so hard to make this place a gem. At least a couple of the original management have been here since the beginning. I want them to know, how much this city implant appreciates them.

Café Reveille is a gem! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal or a coffee break. The menu offers a great variety of delicious options, and the avocado toast is a must-try. The coffee is fantastic, and you can tell they use high-quality beans. The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming vibe. Whether you’re here to work, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a quiet moment, Café Reveille is the ideal spot. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great café experience in San Francisco!
