A few of my co-workers decided to go experience this Brazilian Steak House (BSH). The selection of the salad bar was below our standard of the other BSH we have visited. The wait staff were all over the place and not very attentive. Our waiter was extremely pushy, trying to convince us to purchase a bottle of wine, when only one of us was drinking. I expressed this to him prior to the other guest arrival, that I was the only one drinking wine. Very few selection of the meat cuts were available, no lamb, no blazed pineapple and we were only served about five (5) cuts of meats not the seven (7) listed on the website. As the meats were being served, we noticed a distinguishing taste on all. It was lighter fluid, about 30 mins in we could no longer eat, due to the fact all of the meat that were served tasted like the lighter fluid. You could not enjoy the meats, no favor just a lot of fluid. We asked for the dessert menu, nothing and I mean nothing on it was even appealing to try. As we began to pay for our meal, one of my co-workers began to feel ill and had to go to the bathroom. I informed our waiter about the meats and he stated he will inform the manager. As we waited the manager never arrived at our table. Upon leaving, I asked for the manager. My first question to him was: did our waiter speak to you about our concerns? No, so I proceeded to inform of the taste that over powered all the meats. He seemed uninterested in what I had to say, never offered anything. Wasn’t expecting anything just basic customer services. I stated I would never return and I will be...
Read moreAs a midwestern-raised girl: god bless this place. This is no Old Country Buffet. This is a true SF-style buffet (think quinoa at the salad bar) and tender slices of meat, but you can definitely feed a midwestern appetite here.
As a girl raised by a Chinese mother: okay you're at a buffet - so how to maximize value? When you sit down, you're probably pretty decently hungry. You are first invited to go fill up at the salad bar (a must, because that's where you get the plate to consume the food).
Don't. Go. Crazy.
Don't go fill up that plate with everything delicious looking at the bar (paella, sauteed eggplant, spinach salad, quinoa with cranberries, rice, fish, etc.) Then when you get back to the table, don't eat all the delicious carb-alicious appetizers they sit in front of you (fried plaintains, cheesy bread, etc.) Because you're going to want to fill up on meat. Or at least I did. Sorry, but I was brought up to only eat the lobster, fish, and shrimp at any buffet. Basically, I'm not popular at buffets.
There's a little circle in front of you that's a dial that goes green for "yes meat" and red for "no I'm stuffed". Now turn that dial to GREEN.
Meat will come every two minutes. Savor and eat. Then wait. Then keep going. You'll get chicken sausage (good), filet mignon (good), garlic butter steak (omgomgomg), sirlon steak (kinda chewy), etc.
Oh and no shrimp and other stuff at lunch. So FYI the lunch menu is a bit more limited.
PS - Service is ON POINT. I spilled some coffee and a waiter immediately noticed and brought me soda water to clean up my skirt. Within...
Read moreWe enjoy Brazilian Steakhouses and try to go to a new one when we travel. Based on the reviews and were excited to try this one. We called ahead to ask about the attire and we were told it was business casual. We know what that means, but still asked if we could wear jeans. The employee seemed offended that we asked and said “Sure, wear jeans if you want” in a sarcastic manner. Once we got there, it was clear business casual attire was not required. A better approach to this would be saying business casual is preferred, but not required without the sarcasm. While the salad bar had a variety of items, there were more starchy items (lasagna, french fries, etc) than expected. There definitely could have been more salad, vegetable, and fruit items offered. We were offered approximately 14 different meats within 45 minutes. There was inconsistency in the meat flavor. About 30% of the time the flavor was perfect. It was bland at times and too salty other times. The leg of lamb was very tasty. We were surprised ribeye was not an offering. Shrimp, however was, which is something we have seen more as a salad bar offering. There were major temperature issues with the meat. Very few pieces of meat came out hot. They were all just sorta warm. We have never experienced that before at any other Brazilian Steakhouse. Overall, the experience was average. This won’t be a restaurant we add to our definitely must go to list, but we would try it one more time to see if it was just an off...
