I don’t know, I'm local and I really wanted to like this place... heard a lot of good things.... I ordered through the DoorDash app and arrived 15 minutes after my order was estimated to be ready. They never received my order, so they had to make it on the spot. I kindly asked if I could get a little extra pastrami on my reuben to make up for the delayed pickup. What can I say.... the portion of pastrami on this reuben is blasphemous. Try serving this in NY and see what kind of response you'd get from people. Overall, a decidedly average sandwich. The greek salad and macaroni salad side dishes were good, though When I unwrapped my takeout order and took a bite, I tried to call them, but the number listed goes directly to a fax machine. I called the other location and they were incredibly rude to me, saying they didn't have time to deal with my order and didn't have a good number for the location on Battery street. Overall, not the best way to spend 40 minutes and 40 bucks

Absolutely love Gambinos. Family owned and operated thier food is made with love . Very good, every salad and sandwhich home made on the premises. And another thing i love is it is so very clean and modern. Highly recommend you come give them a try. Big sandwhiches little price. I guarantee it won't dissapoint. I remembered to snap a photo before i was done . this philly was great had a little spice to it that was awesome. Macaroni salad like mom makes. ❤

MUST TRY if you're thinking of going here. My review won't do this place justice. Ordered $100 worth of food and every item was better than the next. Cheese steak with peppers is good to eat hot or a to-go item to eat later, all the juice sits for awhile and gets absorbed by the bread, chefs kiss. Gentlemen sub is also great. Subs are a good size and can be shared between two people. Do yourself a favor and go here....

We dropped into Gambino’s for lunch on Friday because we were going to the Exploratorium. We just needed to eat before our adventure and we found this place on the corner and decided to try it. The food is absolutely top notch for a little sandwich place. Like real Italian sandwiches and pasta. I ordered the Eggplant parm and Ooo Boy! Totally Heaven. The others had a Reuben, cheesesteak, and The Gentleman's sandwich which they all raved about. We are a bunch of tough critics when it comes to food and it’s my pleasure to say to anyone considering a lunch in San Francisco…Just go to Gambino’s, you won’t be...
