First-time client of David Bui’s and I am in LOVE with my haircut. Backstory, I’ve been on the lookout for a new hairstylist since my stylist moved away to another state about 6 years ago and haven’t found one until today! I’m not picky about my day-to-day hairstyle as I don’t do much except run a wand through my hair to give me some controlled curls, but when I get a haircut I am a bit pickier because it makes a difference in how I style my hair. My hairstyle/layers has been getting outgrown. I heard of great reviews from a coworker of mine, so I decided to pay David a visit. The salon is nicely tucked away in a nice building shared with a few other businesses.

David shampooed my hair, cut it, styled it, and gave me tips on how to curl it. Like the most recent W.W reviewer, this review is also long overdue. I found my way to Jackson Place by reviews and being walkable from our place. David Bui kept popping up in reviews and there's a reason! David was great, he balanced out my mess of grown out highlights per pandemic and was so fun to chat with. The biggest takeaway for anyone that feels like they have had hit/miss with hair salons in SF - he actually wanted/listened and took the time to make my hair not just look good or be repaired, but sustain me for our months long road trip.
