Milan Pizza — Restaurant in San Francisco

I'd give 0 stars if possible. Ordered the pizza, they had 50 minutes to cook it, were only 2 km away and managed to need another 40 min to deliver it.

I called them to confirm the order. I called them TWICE, as the order was being prepared,

1. To ask for napkings
2. To ask them why the pizza was 20 min late.

The pizza arrived stone cold. It's as if they delivered the entire city before the Marriott. I had a $10 tip ready for this pizza.. driver got nothing he was so late.

I waited in the lobby the ENTIRE TIME. I would have had the pizza sooner if I walked there and back.

Yelp noticed the food hadn't arrived and said.. do you want to contact customer support? At which point it suddenly asked me to log into another Android app called Eats24, which is somehow related to Yelp, but for unknown reason I wasn't able to download it because it according to the app it wasn't available in my country. I'm in San Francisco.

The whole thing worked like some scam. I called Eats24, they contacted the Milan Pizza, and despite taking more than an hour and half to cook and deliver a pizza that was just over 1 mile away that arrived stone cold, they only wanted to provide a 50% money back.

These people are racist and don’t deserve to be patronized from people of color. If you order over the phone they don’t know who they are preparing the food for, then your order should be fine. But once they remember who you are and they don’t like you they will absolutely do something nasty to your food! I even came in my work uniform and I’m a city worker but they have no decency so they treated me the same as any homeless person they see on the street. They are on a notorious block for homeless violence and drugs. I came in for a quick snack on my break they put some sort of metal wire in my food and some burnt something’s that covered my fries in black burnt debris. You’ve been warned stay away from this place

Update: I just returned from doctors office to find out I have a stomach food poisoning infection I believe came from this place and their Horrible gut wrenching pizza. Eat at your own risk, I hope you don’t require a trip to the hospital afterwards.

The staff here is nice. I like people. The food looks lovely in presentation.

Now for the food: The dough is thick, crunchy and chewy in each bite I had. The sauce is not so great😞. It was tomatoey but not flavorful. I love my sauces and this was lacking in salt, herbs, and thickness. Also, it was a little dry. I needed a glass of wine..

The toppings on the pizza were fresh, so kudos there! I had the veggie slice and my companion had the Milan (a lot of everything). So the slice is filling. Not enough cheese for me. Mostly veggies not roasted enough.

My suggestion is to get the garlic bread which was very cheesy and flavorful. I might try the sandwiches to improve my review. Other than that, if you find another late night pizza joint with better flavor then I would really rather go there.
