Sadly disappointed. First, the place has a dingy/dirty feel to it. The floors are sticky and so are the tables. The young lady that works there looks miserable and was quite rude. The young lady brought us menus, but I very nicely told her we were ready to order. She made a face, picked up the menus aggressively, turned around and with her back to us she says " ok give me a minute." The way she said it though. I didnt appreciate it but I let it go. She came back a few mins later and we placed our order. We ordered beef broccoli over rice and a hot and sour soup(Lg) we told her we would be sharing both. After 10-15 minutes the soup came out. They young lady brought it to the table and left without serving the soup(most restaurants do). Again, not a big deal. Only, that the soup was bland and wasn't hot and for me personally, any soup has to be hot, that's kind of the point of soup. The tables dont have their own condiments, so I had to go look for condiments since the young lady dissappeard into the back. I found them by the counter on a little side table but all the condiments were all sticky and gummy. I decided not to even bother. The entrƩe was my last hope. The entree came out 10-15 mins later. Unfortunately it was another disappointment. The pieces of meat were in thick chunks and weren't uniformed. The meat was mushy and flavorless. The rice was very dry and seemed like very poor quality rice, like broken rice. The very little sauce and the broccoli was the only thing that was OK. Just ok. Point being, food was a no. I left worried that I might get sick from it. Needless to say I will not be returning. Please clean your restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered some food to-go. Had decent reviews on UberEats and needed some good 'ol chinese food to battle a hangover.
It was overall just below average. Got some beef fried rice, ginger fish, wonton soup and honey pork ribs.
Its always a gamble ordering Chinese food the first time anywhere because you just dont know the quality and how they pack it and if it will affect the food.
Beef fried rice was the best of all the items. Good portion, felt freshly made and not sitting. Traveled well. Even the next day reheated it tasted good, not greasy.
Wonton soup had nice plump wontons but came with so much extra meat and nonsense that it absorbed what little broth was there. If they separated the contents into soup and everything else im sure it would be more enjoyable. The broth was really salty.
Honey pork ribs had good ratings but I didnt like it. They were long baby back ribs and not the authentic Chinese style pork ribs. The sauce was watery and not saucy. The addition of big pieces of cabbage with hot food ina plastic clamshell container basically steamed it and or the sauce broke because it didnt have enough corn starch.
The ginger fish was a disappointment too because it was mostly spinach was thinly sliced white fish. Like even if it was tilapia it should have been way more that the serving was for the price they charged. The flavor was good but when it's 80% spinach, 15% cheap fish and 5% ginger just sad.
$80 with fees and tips. No way im ordering this ever again. Learned my lesson. Tread carefully here, definitely dont order to-go. Maybe its better in person. There are so many...
