The Burma Love team has knocked another one out of the park with Kayah and we were already fans of their other restaurants! Every dish we have ever tried is a winner and it is no different at Kayah.
The food was delicious, flavorful, and unique. The ceviche was delicate, light, and a lovely balance of tangy and savory flavors. The calamari was not breaded and fried but grilled with a touch of chili crunch to give it that crispy texture--yum! The split pea fritters were an unexpected favorite melding sweetness and heat. The fried prawns were lightly breaded, spicy, and flavorful and the puffed rice under the shrimp was a welcome crispy treat. The platha was as good as ever. Off the charcoal grill, we enjoyed the very delicious baby trumpet mushrooms and ribeye wagyu skewers--our server recommended them and they are now a must! The fiery mango spicy tequila cocktail was on point.
The staff were attentive, prompt, and courteous and the overall service was excellent. The ambience and design of the restaurant are inviting and aesthetic, effortlessly and harmoniously blending zen and cool vibes.
We dined on the outdoor patio and it's fun being right on the West Plaza of Chase Center. I highly recommend Kayah and look forward to our next dining...
Read moreJune 2025: Celebrated a new job here and ordered the Burmese Tiffin. There was a lot of food and it was fun to try many dishes. We were one of the first to be seated and the food was mostly lukewarm. Not sure if the food was sitting for a bit. We were there at 630pm on a Friday.
The tea leaf salad was very good. The roti platha was cold and hard. That was disappointing. The wok charred cabbage was good. For the Burmese curry, we had the coconut chicken (winner 🏆) and the local fish curry (okay). Our stir fry option was the wagyu beef (tasty 😋). There was also two kinds of rice (Jasmine and coconut). Both were good.
For dessert, had the fried banana milk. It came with ice cream. Dessert was tasty.
Overall, a good meal. Just wish the food was hot.
January 2025: Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the hamachi crudo, short rib quesadilla, and samosas.
Food was very tasty 😋. Hamachi crudo had some nice sauces, cucumber, tomato, jalapeno, and salmon roe eggs.
The samosas had a tasty chutney. The quesadillas were wrapped in a delicious roti. Would get that again.
Was also impressed by their...
Read moreOne more reason to go to the Chase Center; Kayah will be very fast a staple of the area.
If you know already Burma Love restaurants around the city you already know it won't disappoint you. If it is your first time you will love them at the first bite and sip.
The location is slick, elegant and very friendly. There is a prefect flow from the inside of the place and the outside (yes they have outside area that gives to the main square).
Food is just remarkble and very well curated; there is a cheff that knows what is doing. The flavors of the dishes we had were just right, specific and delicious.
Drinks are special and they have a very well crafterd list. Ask the freindly bartender any suggestions and they will point something out in their beautiful menu or come up with someting perfect just for you.
