Phenomenal spot for a delicious lunch or quick dinner! I stopped by Senor Sisig for a casual dinner before a concert in the Chase Center, and it was the perfect preamble to the show. The food is delicious -- it's hard to say no to Filipino-Mexican fusion -- and remarkably flavorful. They have a variety of spice levels, but even their mild options are packed with flavor (although I have to recommend getting at least a moderate spice level :)). The portions are quite generous, and I appreciate that they have a pretty expansive menu, encompassing burritos, tacos, rice bowls, fry / nacho bowls, and salads. I got their Sisig Salad with tofu, which was quite tasty -- it had a generous helping of fresh shredded lettuce topped with your choice of protein (tofu for me), shredded cheese, pico de gallo, diced peppers, and fried tortilla strips. The calamansi dressing was delicious and helped to bind the whole salad together, and the tofu was cooked well. I also got mine topped with a fried egg, which was a delightful addition -- the yolk was still quite runny, so it added an extra layer of creaminess and richness. Senor Sisig definitely specializes in meat offerings, but I appreciate how much effort went into making their vegetarian options tasty.
They have a pretty large indoor / outdoor space, so there's ample seating, especially if you're willing to share one of the large group tables with a few other parties of concert-goers. The service was also remarkably efficient; there was a pretty long line of folks stopping for a quick bit before the concert, but we were able to order and get our food within...
Read moreUpdate: Returned to try their sigig fries and I’ll say I definitely wasn’t disappointed, very generous serving easily enough for a couple people to share, I ordered it with the tocino which was delicious and sweet, the fries were also super crispy and the cheese was bomb! Once again service was good, food came out quick, and the atmosphere was nice on a sunny day with the open-air vibe, looking forward to coming back and trying some more items with the tocino
Old review: The food was just okay. And for $20 a burrito I expected more. I got the chicken California burrito and it just didn’t have much taste going on, the chicken was very bland and everything else just kind of melded together and didn’t have any distinct flavor. The best part of it was honestly the fries which I would consider ordering a side of.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile so a bit disappointed, and with the price tag I likely won’t be back for awhile.
Service was good, they have kiosks to order at which was nice and easy, food came out pretty quick and the workers were nice. The atmosphere is pretty cool definitely has the right vibe for chase center but...
Read moreSo nice to see a Filipino Mexican fusion place outside of the Chaste center. Perfect spot to grab food before or after a Warriors game or a concert at thrive city. There are parking garages, it might be difficult to find street parking and there’s the muni and busses that pass by. They have multiple locations around the East Bay. As for the food, it’s pretty solid Filipino dishes with a twist and easy to eat! We wanted to try their sinigang chicken wings- nice and crispy and tangy good with the sauce. Also they Sisig crunch a dilla which is their take on a crunch wrap supreme with Sisig which is like sizzling beef or pork. Other items I usually like to order is the tocilog burrito which is pork, garlic fried rice and egg and goes well with vinegar! Filipino dishes burrito style! Yumm and there are vegan options with tofu, burritos, fries, nachos, etc. I wanted the calamansi ginger juice and their ube beer to try. There’s plenty of seating inside, service is quick and great! There are self service kiosks and you can order from...
