This is a great place to launch your boat, kayak, waterbike and visit Chase stadium, Oracle Park, Spark Street food park near by. The launch has two ramps (one currently closed) so it used to be pretty efficient during the busy mornings and early afternoons but now a bit backed up. Visit the Bay View and Mariposa Boat Clubs which flank the launch on either side. Their member are a riot and super welcoming. Plan to have extra time for parking and setup. Update: 2021 - Small craft like SUPs, Kayaks and Waterbikes can be launched from Crane Cove Park now. It’s 1000x better there.

Love that you can literally drive into the bay down this ramp. One of the many beautiful quirks about San Francisco is that there are seemingly abandoned places hat give you compete access to the industrial and natural beautify of SF just around the corner from landmarks like Giants Stadium.

Death to this club, metaphorically of course. I walked in randomly, I just wanted a cold beer on a long walk. I was told they are very anti-tech, that I was not welcome, and you need to own a boat. These are the dinosaurs of SF. They will be gone soon.I haven't seen a single sail boat actually leave the port here. Ever. It's all status. And they need to be taken down a notch. Two ramps at this location. Free. No charge to launch or retrieve your boat. If parking nearby read signs and meters carefully as this is under SF Port Authority control and near Oracke Park so special event and other restrictions exist. Great place to launch boats from trailer...
