Latte Express + Banh Mi & Donut — Restaurant in San Francisco

I have issues every time I come here.

The first time I came I ordered a coffee at the counter, and it wasn't until I go to the other end where the cashier is that it says cash only. I didn't have cash, and she wouldn't let me pay card. She actually got mad at me and yelled at me. I walked out.

The second time I came I ordered something, then after 15m they said they didn't have the ingredients. I ordered a simple sandwich and it was just overpriced for what it was. This should be a quick cheap grab and go spot and it's none of those.

The third time I came they overcharged me 2x, said it didn't go through then charged me the correct amount. So then I had to prove to them that my card got charged 2 separate times, one of them for 2x the amount. After some convincing they refunded me. Then this employee started spewing absolute garbage to be about how Taiwan is a bad country, saying this to my Taiwanese wife. The food took almost 40m to arrive. The karrage was just microwave fried chicken. The breakfast burrito was not bad but nothing special. Mostly microwave food shouldn't cost $30.

New owners have changed this once great place. When I walked in there were 2 people sitting at a table, 2 people behind the counter looking at their phone. It seemed like they were expecting the others to take my order. When they finally did and presented me with the bill they didn't have a sign or tell me that there is an extra charge for using card, charged me $2.50 for a 99c Arizona can (put a sign up after I said something). I go to my office at Fifty Hills Real Estate in downtown San Francisco. Not much to eat out there and I’m always on the go. Latte Express is the go-to restaurant that is fast and easy to get in and out. Peter is always there welcoming the hungry employees in the area. I have been going there for about 4 years now.
