Thai and Japanese restaurant, although I would say the menu leans more to Thai, with ramen being the Japanese highlight.

Plenty of seating, we visited on a Sunday evening and it was not overly busy.

Food: We ordered the Lunar wings, crispy chicken wings with a spicy sauce. I could definitely taste the fish sauce in this dish. Was a tad salty for me, could definitely eat it with some rice on the side. Wings were all flats, which honestly was a bonus for me.

Then, as recommended by the reviews we ordered the pa lo stew which is braised pork belly and it comes with a braised garbled hardboiled egg and rice on the side. The pork belly was tender and fatty, the sauce brought notes of clove/cinnamon. Definitely a salty rice-chaser dish, again, a bit salty for me.

Lastly was the pad see you, thick stir fried noodles, you can choose your protein but we ordered ours with beef. I liked that it came with a decent amount of greens too. Deliciously flavored, the texture of the noodles is quite good. Solid dish.

Prices are fair. Service is a bit lacking, seemed like there were only 1.5 servers for 6+ tables.

Still I would return and recommend, a great place for Asian food in this area. There are lots of other dishes I’m interested in trying like the curry and the ramen.

Seating:

Plenty of seating to accommodate big parties...

First time visit at Sun and Moon. They are open for business during COVID19. Street parking and on a busy street but it was easy to find parking (maybe for now).

There's outside seating as well as inside. I'd say it's a pretty ok sized restaurant, would have a lot of available seating but they're practicing social distancing so seats inside are limited. I love the decor and their light fixtures. Very unique.

Food: Aaamazing! I've had crab fried rice at other restaurants and this was the best one I've had so far. I mean it was pricey but worth it. The chunks of crab meat, the eggs, and the fresh coconut! The presentation of this entree was beautiful! The minute I saw it I wanted to dig in!

One unique appetizer we ordered was the corn crab cake. This was deep fried, topped with crab and pickled carrots, onions, and cucumbers. Love love loved!!!

Staff: our waitress was a delight. She was friendly and attentive. Our orders came right away. Oh so when we got the check we did not realize the tip was automatically added so we added more tip on top of the total. Please Pay attention to your check. Anyway, I didn't realize it until we got home. Our server was nice enough not to double charge us. Now that is A+ customer service!!! I was...

UPDATE:

  1. Crab Fried Rice? Definitely worth it, even if $35.
  2. Pad See You with Beef, Pad Kee Mow with Prawns (I get it mild or just slightly spicy) - a very safe choice, and very good.
  3. I sometimes order from here for delivery, and when I do I sometimes get green curry. I heat it up again and it's also very good.

Staff are friendly, and I didn't think that they were understaffed when I went as a group of two.

Food: Generally will be around $20+ with tips, around $25+ if you also order drinks. I was a bit surprised at $35 for crab fried rice. It was super cold, so I ordered ramen (though it's not really thai food). My Tonkotsu Ramen ($19) was very good. I think everyone in the table was pretty happy with the food they got.

Service: I think they might have been slightly understaffed, though they probably didn’t expect a group of 6 people on a Thursday night. They didn’t provide chopsticks for ramen so I had to ask for it (you can’t really eat ramen with a fork), and I realized that I also didn’t get a spoon so I had to ask for that as well. They were nice enough to bring hot water when I asked for it in...
