As a hospitality professional, I’ve never given a one-star review in my life—until now. This cocktail bar is an absolute disappointment, driven by greed and an utter lack of service standards. • Short beer pours – Expect a third of your beer to be foam, with no effort to top it off. • Unprofessional staff – The bartender was dismissive, disoriented, and barely engaged with guests. • No table service – You’re left to fend for yourself, even in a bar that charges premium prices. • Predatory tipping system – When closing a tab, the POS suggests gratuities of 25%, 30%, and even 35%—post-tax.

Read moreA not-so-hidden gem. I had been looking for a neighborhood bar since I moved to the area, and this is exactly what I wanted. A bit unassuming from the outside, but it'll be hard not to be instantly won over as soon as you walk in. Relaxing ambience, the kind of friendly bartenders that remember your favorite drink, delicious pizza, amazing cocktails and beer selection, and the other bar goers are generally open for a conversation. It's almost as if SF made its own version of Cheers. Plus, they have a weekday happy hour with $4 drafts of some of the best craft beer in the area. You really can't...
