The pupussas are 💥💣💥. They used to have a outdoor grill in front on the sidewalk for pupussas Togo, they were quick, tasty and cheap until it disappeared. Then later a truck, that was a few years ago. Moving forward I ordered food to go here last fall and there service was unbelievablly slow and prices had gone up quit a bit. A friend and I were going to grab a slice of pizza around the corner before deciding to share a 3 pupusas. Anyway after waiting 25+ mins we finally got our take out order of 3 pupusas. Took forever but they were as good as I remembered. I ate here tonight, the place was half empty and I noticed almost every table was already served and no one was on line, great, except nobody's at the counter to take my order either and it's 9:00 9:15 on a Fri night so go figure. I see a guy cleaning tables and serving the few tables that haven't been served yet. Now he's finally coming to the counter to taking my order. This guy works hard! They should probably get him some help! I order 3 pupusas to eat in and took 20 mins. They were good but a bit off in terms of quality based on past experiences but quit good. So I would not wait for a To go order with all the options available on that block alone. I'd say if you have time and don't mind waiting there...

My mom & I wanted to grab a bite to eat on our way home. Since this place had gotten some great reviews we decided to give it a try. Initially we were reluctant because we felt $5 for one pupusa seemed a bit much but the rave reviews got us to give it a try. FF, I really wanted to love this place because I love pupusas but I feel this place is overrated. The parking can be very challenging because of the location on 16th St near Valencia. The service was cool, wait time was ok (about 15-20 mins), the food was still hot when we got home, that's a plus. The pupusas flavor was ok, they were drier than I like & the cheese was a little doughy, there wasn't enough curtido for 2 pupusas, the salsa tasted tomato-y & lacked flavor. Although the beans didn't look very appetizing & appear to be runny (they aren't) they did have a good flavor. The cinnamon empanadas were ok (they must taste better hot). The plantain was delicious! The guanabana drink was very good but not enough for the price. Overall I spent $37+ for 1 combo w/ plantain, 2 chicken pupusas, 1 empanada & 2 drinks. The inconvenience of parking & the steep prices of their pupusas makes this place...
