We stayed in a hotel on this street, and were just strolling the area seeing what place would lure us in....this place did. The smell of fresh tortillas, and salsa brought us here from the outside. We were seated in minutes, and this place was busy, but the staff was bustling and efficient. The waitress had chips and salsa on our table as soon as we sat down, and another waitress was over to greet us soon after. I ordered veggies fajitas, and a aqua Fresca (jicama flavored) to drink, which was very good. The food was great, flavorful, and came out pretty fast. The vibes were chill and low key, how I like. There was also a man in there singing with a guitar. There were a lot of liberal wall decor, featuring anti trump posters, and standing up for social injustice. You can also sit at the bar, and catch a game on the TV. This was a great night cap, make sure you leave room...
Read moreOur server was clearly having a serious attitude problem and should not have been working.
The outside parklett seating was unforgettable. The sun shone directly in our faces and when we tried to use a menu to blck thecdun our waiter was super snippy and expressed way more attitude than thd dictation deserved.
He also forgot part of our order abdcwhrn we tried to get his attention he ignored us. Fortunately the manager on duty did not and helped us out. Unfortunately our waiter then refused to wait on our table at all.
A funny about this entire experience was after the waiter took down the nenu we used to block the sun the manager who came to aide in our missing item said "why don't we just use a menu"!! Hilarious!! She asked why we were laughing so we had to tell her of our previous interaction...
Read moreI was very skeptical due to the long-line of bridge and tunnel folks, but the leadership of my group was highly recommending we go there. We spent the 40 minute wait having drinks next door at Limon (much better than standing out on the sidewalk). Margaritas are very good. Real, like you're in Mexico. Good tequila, lime, sugar in perfectly strong proportions. Food is great. Not fancy organicized stuff - just old school good solid mexican fare. I had the chili colorado and it was perfect with extremely tasty chunks of beef (I guess I wasn't much of a vegan that night). Perfect side for the margaritas. Reasonable prices on everything. Staff is friendly, diverse and very sf. If you don't like them then please stick to eating out...
