Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in San Francisco

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for some years and have come here many times. Over the last 6 months or so the service level at this place has really gone down. You shouldn’t have to wait 30min for a latte. The first couple of times this happened, I thought maybe it was just an unusual day, but after experiencing this several more times I realize is just the norm here. What you can expect is usually a slow barista struggling to get orders out and 3,4 other staff just standing around talking to each other doing nothing to get orders out. Don’t believe me? Come by on weekend in the daytime and see for yourself. I no longer come here, it’s unfortunate because the brew from Peet’s brand is actually really good. Seems like this can be fixed with better training...

I appreciate the service and everyone is doing their best and are considerate. Is it me or the coffeemaker? I have been drinking Pete's for decades - almost every morning. But every time I purchase coffee on Geary(and I live on 15th AVe) it tastes awful like it's been watered down. Is there something wrong with the coffeemaker or are they not putting in the correct ratio of coffee to water.

Just to make sure I will try their regular coffee one more time. Dear Management, pls check the coffee and the maker at this location.

Been going to this place for 7 years (its the closest peets to my address) and part of the reason i keep going (aside from it not being starbucks because peets coffee simply tastes better) is staff. There is always great friendly staff at that location which adds to the experience of having a cup of joe at any given time of the day. Extra shout out to Ukoma who entertained me with his card and coin tricks (a magician in the making) and his co worker for offering to add steamed milk to my regular drip coffee. Which BTW is called a 'caffè latte'. You learn something new...
