I've been to it once or twice cause they were giving away free donuts and I didn't know what it was. but even when I walked in the first room was pretty much empty and it was kinda weird. I think its ridiculous that anyone would read these reviews and think that this place is actually a real place. most of these reviews are obviously written by the same person or something cause they literally all saying the same thing. the rest of them are telling you the truth. this place is just a cult that gets people that are lonely and don't have people around them. if you are lonely there are better things to do than go to scientology. the guy that started it was a science fiction writer that said that the best way to get rich is to start a religion. look at it now the church of scientology now owns 200 million dollars in real estate and are tax exempt. the current head, miscavage has been asked numerous times to do interviews but he will not do any interviews or make public appearances other than at scientology events and even if you read the pamphlet that they give you it wont tell you anything about what their belief system is in terms of a higher being or thetans . that kinda feels like the first thing that they should tell you instead of we are good people who think that people should do the right thing. THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN!!! but what sets them apart from other religions is that they wont tell you what they are about until you are already hooked into it. if you go look online for information from the website of the church of scientology they will not tell you anything other than common sense morals and cryptic descriptions. the only good thing that they did was give me free donuts but they were Safeway donuts that were mid but if you like donuts and...
Read moreI was introduced to the Church of Scientology San Francisco by my in’laws in 2008. They brought me to a Church holiday event and I knew nobody there - but was very impressed to see how many people gathered for a great party, a wonderful time and so friendly!
I went back for the Sunday Service and my husband and I became fast friends with some of the Church staff. Fast forward to 2021 and we have gone to so many Church events, participated in their local charity & community activities, done multiple life improvement courses with them and our kids are now very familiar with the Church and it’s services - also having availed themselves of some children study courses and child Scientology auditing.
Both my kids are excelling at school after the study course!! And after their ministerial counseling (Scientology auditing) my son no longer has anger outbreaks and my daughter chats with everyone!
Our lives have most definitely improved by becoming part of the San Francisco’s Church of Scientology parishioners! We consider the staff incredibly good friends and amazingly dedicated to helping improve conditions for the entire Bay Area community (be it getting people off drugs, improving literacy, helping with The Way To Happiness campaign, etc)!
They help others improve their lives. This is very needed in today’s world so a big “thank you” to this Church I am now proud to call...
Read moreI did some seminars here and met most of the staff, then ended up doing some counseling (auditing) and other courses (for example, a training course in business management and administration) which all were fantastic actually. Very practical and specific in a lot of ways (not vague, “oh well, duh” sort of courses that I’ve seen in the past). The auditing was even better frankly, I felt significant relief from some personal difficulty I was having in life (won’t get too specific but I was generally not that happy) and after addressing a lot of things with the counseling, I distinctly noticed myself not as worried about those issues and am now more insouciant & willing to confront those things. Also before and after the auditing I was made to do testing (IQ, Aptitude, and an Oxford Capacity Analysis) so I could actually see quantifiable improvement (as well as my own subjective opinion of how I felt). The staff were all friendly (not fake friendly “car dealership” vibe) and I honestly have no qualms about my experience. I don’t understand all the hoopla I’ve seen about these guys (online and in media) I guess some people just get cynical about groups/other people trying to make the world a better place. It’s not that complicated, if you’re just curious, get your information at the source and make your own conclusions about whether you think something is worth your...
