Happi House Famous Teriyaki — Restaurant in San Jose

I was in Happi House Famous Teriyaki in Mc Kee today 8/9/2025. I was using the self service machine, I needed help for a second and I asked Abegail C. (she wear glasses, she have her hair braided and ponytail today heavy weight for her size)for her help because she's the one in front taking order and she said wait with a rude looks. So, I said ok I'll wait. She was helping these two couple. After this two couple, it should have been my turn but, she helped this latina lady behind me instead. I've been waiting for 10 mins. for her help. I was about to walk out. Finally she help me. (after the latina lady). Again with her rude body language. Maybe she's prejudice with asian? I come here all the time and I never experience this kind of service. The persons who helped me everytime when I come here they are very nice (elder asian lady, elder Latina lady and latino guy) not like Abegail she's very rude. She should not even work here if her attitude is very bad/prejudice towards her customers. I will not recommend to my friends and families to eat here with that kind of service toward the customer. Happi House has been a cherished spot for years when I was growing up. Eating it with my family is definitely one of my memories I have as a child. It's located off McKee Road, it’s easy to find with its large, unmistakable sign.

I just wished there was a bathroom so I can wash my hands before and after eating. There wasn't any bathroom for me to use in the WHOLE plaza. So I recommend bringing some wipes or hand sanitizer.

We got take out; no curbside pickup. Food is just like I remember; pretty good for fast food. What I did not care for was how they package the food. Soup was in one of those really nice plastic non-liquid food container, not one made for soup or liquid. They did put it in a plastic bag, but it still it spilled. The actual food was in little paper bags and boxes. The plate I ordered, pork teriyaki and salad was deconstructed; salad in one box, meat in another. Had trouble reconciling the contents of the the Togo bag with what I ordered. One bright 🌞 light was the guy working the front counter (sorry didn't get the name) he was most excellent in his service. I walk with a cane (that's why I prefer curbside pickup) and he offered to and did take my bags to my car for me. I really appreciated this as it was a particularly challenging day for me.
