Bangkok & Bombay Thai And Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in San Juan

The appetizer was cooked into old oil so it tasted really bad. We asked for no peanuts on the pad thai. My wife got a soup that came out like in 10 minutes. 15 minutes after that they brought out the pad thai with peanuts. I said we didn't want peanuts. The waitress told my wife she told her wrong. She took it back to the cook. A couple of minutes later i was like i don't want to wait 20 minutes for this again. So my wife told her we wanted to cancel the order and pay for what we ate. She told her but they already started making it. She was like i know but we wanted to eat together we don't want to wait. The waitress said but it is already started. My wife said my husband doesn't want it anyore. So she went and told the cook. We heard the cook say "well tell them they can go ---" e didn't hear what he finished saying. When the waitress came out from the back my wife asked what did he just say. Of course the waitress didn't tell us. This place didn't look clean the service was extremely bad. The greece was old. I do have to admit my wife saidc the soup was the best she ever had. But i would recommend anything else besides this place. Plus trying to find a place to park was really hard. ...

If you want the experience of arriving to an empty restaurant, to watch other people that came in AFTER you...get their food, eat, and pay their bill...before you get your food...then this is your type of establishment! We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food. I've probably eaten/ordered from this place over 50 times (because they have indian & thai...not just thai). Tonight was completely abysmal. I was given a pretty illogical reason why...that they had only 1 cook. I pushed back a little and said that it should not impact the order to have a 1.5 hr delay, but was given a rather patronizing response. When I asked to somehow be compensated for getting my food late (it was also cold and overcooked when it arrived), they offered me a beer. I explained to them that I have been a loyal customer, and had to request they talk to the manager about fairly compensating us for what occured. They declined. I simply said, your customer acquisition to replace our volume over the past 2 years, is going to be a much larger loss. I've only not tipped two times in my entire life where...this was one of them.

Go to Mai Pen Rai instead..the food and...

The starters were good and the food was overall OK but the experience was horrible. They took 2 hours to bring the main course and that is insane. No place should be allowed to operate as a restaurant with a terrible wait time after ordering food. We had kids who were getting hungry. On top of this, when they brought our food, they said that our malai kofta order is not ready as they were out of koftas and will take additional time to prepare. Instead, we can take this matar paneer instead as it is ready. We only got half of the bread and no raita that we had ordered and we had to remind them about it. With all of us being tired of waiting we took the matar paneer and it was not good (felt like it was from a cancelled order that was pushed to us). Everyone else in the restaurant was complaining about having waited 1.5 hours and not getting food.

When we had made the reservation, we were told that if we are late by more than 10 minutes, our reservation would be cancelled. This was the story with a group who arrived late. This seemed like a double standard - expecting high punctuality from customers and showing none...
