Planet Fitness — Local services in San Juan

BAD EXPERIENCE As a tourist, I had a bad experience at this location and would warn other tourists of the same. Purchased a day pass for myself and my girl. 45 total. Within 5 minutes, I was kicked out for not wearing the proper footwear by Natacha. I have never been kicked out of a gym for my footwear. They waited till they received my payment before kicking me out. I was told the rules were written clearly on the table, but the rules were written in Spanish only. I was then informed by Natacha that I should have googled the rules before coming (who does that?). I was told I would be receiving a call in about an hour to contest this charge. It is now the end of the day and never received a call. I would simply warn tourists to Google the rules, as it is a planet fitness, before getting fleeced. Called Nicole back in the afternoon, she told me nobody working speaks English and she doesn’t know when the next manager will be coming in. Do NOT go to this location. What a nightmare, I deployed to PR with the military and opened a gym membership there. I closed it prior to leaving in person and flew back home. I followed up with them in which they stated I never cancelled the membership and requested I mail them a letter requesting cancellation. I mailed a certified letter priority mail to them which I received confirmation they were in receipt of the letter. I called to follow up and they said they did not receive the letter. I then went to a Planet Fitness near where I live and pled for help which they tried to do a "hard transfer" with the PR Planet Fitness over the phone who did not cooperate. I am now hemorrhaging money due to not being able to cancel the account and on a holding pattern while corporate Planet Fitness communicates with them. Just cancelled my membership. There is never equipment at this location. They have 50 treadmills easily but a super tiny free weights area. Zero place to workout even if you want to grab a mat and do a workout from a video on YouTube. The space is so badly distributed, actually, the space is so small I'm dumbfounded at how the planet fitness brand allowed this location to become part of the franchise. There. Is. Not. Enough. Room.. or equipment, there simply isn't for the amount of people they get. They need to stop letting people from coming in, but they never do. Today as there was barely any space to walk I see them letting in more and more people. They told me I should come at 11. If you're a human that works normal hours, do not come to this location. Staff was nice and I saw they felt bad for my frustration but obviously nothing...
