I have been a regular customer at Supermercado Pueblo for quite some time now and I can confidently say that I love everything about this place. It's more than just a grocery store to me; it's a one-stop-shop for all my household needs. The store is always immaculately clean, and I appreciate the effort they put into maintaining it.
One of the things that keeps me coming back to Supermercado Pueblo is the wide variety of products they offer. Whether I'm looking for fresh produce, meats, dairy products, or pantry staples, I know I can find everything I need here. They have an excellent selection of international foods and ingredients that I can't find anywhere else.
The staff at Supermercado Pueblo are always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Whenever I have a question about a product or need assistance finding something, they are more than happy to help. Their customer service is truly exceptional, and it makes my shopping experience all the more enjoyable.
Overall, I highly recommend Supermercado Pueblo to anyone looking for a top-notch grocery shopping experience. The store is always well-stocked, clean, and organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a great selection of quality products, this is the place to go. I can't imagine doing my grocery shopping...
Read moreI had an unacceptable experience at Pueblo grocery. I am a well-traveled, high-profile foreign professional, and I walked into the store dressed as any normal person would. The cashier at the register treated me with rudeness and a lack of courtesy that no customer should ever face.
She first asked if I had points; I said no, and she pressed something on the screen. The machine told me to remove my card, so I thought the payment was complete. Instead of clarifying politely, she turned with a straight face and snapped, “Put it back,” in a cold, unpleasant tone. There was no attempt at explanation, just a dismissive attitude.
What stood out most was what happened immediately after: another Spanish-speaking customer came up, and suddenly the cashier’s demeanor changed completely—smiling, friendly, and saying “gracias.” The contrast in treatment could not have been more obvious.
If someone like me—an international professional who respects local culture—can be treated this way, it speaks volumes about how poorly outsiders can be regarded. Courtesy and professionalism should never depend on language or background. This kind of behavior leaves a deeply negative impression of the store and, unfortunately, of the culture...
Read moreI previously gave them 5 stars because they had the best raw cashews in town. The planters cashew bags (in middle of store a bit toward the side with frozen stuff) were MUCH better quality then the over-priced rancid cashews at Freshmart, +they were probably less than half the price.. (but they haven't had them in the last year..) they have some produce which is decently priced as well BUT (since the lockdown) EVERYTHING IN THE STORE SMELLS LIKE... (I'm guessing) hand sanitizer? or some so called "sanitizing" chemical. I mean EVERYTHING. You buy yogurt and the plastic container smells like chemicals, U buy produce and the produce smells like chemicals.. I'm guessing they spray the heck out of their storage room and then it just permeates everything that arrives.. I previously had a theory that it was the cashiers who spray their hands constantly with this perfumed hand "sanitizer" and then touch every single thing you buy in the process of checking U out.. maybe that is it but I think it's both actually.. Anyway I like it because it's open 24 hours +in a nice location, so I still go there when I'm in a hurry, but I often have to wash the chemical smell off my hands after touching whatever I buy...
