ATTENTION - VIOLENT & AGRESSIVE OWNER - AVAID AVOID AVOID!!!!

please I herbly warn you of the owner FRANCISCO RIVERA. He THREATENS BEATS AND STEALS from guest!!! We required POLICE 3x within 24 hrs!!!

Before you book and stay at this place search different travel webpages in detail! If you dont want to have big times trouble dont stay there!

If you do not comply with ALL of the 2000 instructions given by this guy sticked to the walls all over the hostel he will react aggressively and violently!

So this is what happend to a friend and me: Francisco had a disput - before i checked in - with a friend i met in this place. he took my belongings for whatever reason. (There are different reports that this - or similar things - happend to other ppl too. You can get your stuff back eventually if you pay him!!). When i noticed i claimed it back immediately! There are cctv cameras all over but surprisingly there wasnt any working that night. Instead he became violent! He started an argument and in the end he attempted to and punch me!! (We have video records of that!) He kept shouting we should call the police which we did however he hide himself in his private rooms once they arrived! I was banned from his place although not actually involved in the initial conflict - he still charged for that night!!!! as i did not check out before check out time (conflict took place at 2200/10pm). The police couldnt do anything that night so we came back the next day with officers again. Francisco couldnt be found anywhere but surprisingly my belongings were back in the hostel. Once police left he appeared immediately insulting me and actually all other guests!

The other guests, a group of travellers who wittnessed the conflict the previous night, as we talked about the whole story, they discovered a bag with aprox 25 social ID cards/drivers licenses in the back of a closets drawer! What a coincidence there are loads of reports of ID cards/DL taken as a deposit by this guy but never returned or only after paying a blackmailing "fee" -- 3rd time we called police!

This place has changed names regularly to avoid bad reviews!!

In the recent 2 yrs we sucessfully managed to get this place banned from mayor online-reservation pages however this place and francisco as the thriving force behind it is still available on some pages!!!!

ps. My friend and & I, we both live overseas and starting a case - although 4 embassies of 3 countries were involved - is impossible due to US law and the impossibility for us to fly into SJU for every single day of trail!

For sure he will deny EVERYTHING, take ZERO responsibility and blame and justify his behaviour on YOU!!

AVOID THIS...

I'm really writing this review for the Atlantic Beach Hotel Bar that is on the back of the hotel on Condado Beach. After a long day of swimming at the beach, we saw a sign for the Happy Hour at the bar ($3.50 for mixed drinks from 5-9 pm Monday-Friday). We ended up spending about two hours sitting on their patio. After 6 drinks and an order of fries, our total bill was only $22.50! The bartender made the most delicious drinks, too! We had pina coladas, a mango daiquiri, and some drinks that were similar to mojitos. All of them were so good and next time we are in San Juan we definitely plan on taking advantage of the amazing prices and beautiful view from the...
