The food was very good, but I am definitely not coming back. The service and concept of the restaurant don't offer a good experience for the customer. To begin, they don't accept reservations. I arrived at 7:00p.m. and didn't get a table until 8:40p.m. I waited THAT long because I was able to have drinks and/or be seated at the restaurant next door while I waited, and I really wanted to try and support this new place. We were a group of 4, and had to wait until they seated everyone else, with the excuse that they didn't have a table for 4 people (so they are not able to put together 2 tables of 2 people). By the way....if your group is of 5 or more, they won't give you a table after 5:30p.m. Too many non-sense restrictions...you're loosing customers.
All the dishes were served without silverware to serve each plate. Pizza without a pizza spatula, a shared appetizer without anything to serve our individual portions.
Since they open only until 9:00p.m. I had specifically asked if we still had time to eat without rush. The host/server assured me that they closed when the last table (us) was done. Not even 45 minutes after we were seated, we were told that the bar was closing. Our main dishes had not arrived yet!!! Obvious to say that we were the last ones there. They were rushing the plates out of out table, even without waiting for us to be done. One of the servers mentioned: "I shower naked and only on Saturdays". Is that really necessary?
If they are too cool for customers to have minimum service, who is your "concept" for? Not coming back, or...
Read moreIt’s disappointing how much we had to wait for a table this past Tuesday. While we were waiting outside a woman came like 5-10 minutes after we were waiting and when our table was available and the host came to look for us, she stood up and told the host my group is here and sat down on the table that was for us. When we asked the host she was like “oh they are cleanings your table”. All of this after one hour waiting to be seated and the timing they gave us was 30 minutes. After we sat down, the waiter came and ask us what we want to drink but we were ready to order. Appetizers came and they were delicious. After a while Oscar, the waiter, brings one pizza and I asked him about the other pizza and he said yes is coming. This is an hour after we sat down. We had to wait 20 more minutes after the first pizza was brought. We couldn’t eat together. The Chef’s pizza was the one we had to wait. The waiter said that the cooker did it wrong because he didn’t add the mushrooms and they had to re-do it. The sauce was so thin that made the pizza soggy. We were celebrating one of my daughter’s friends birthday, so this was a specialty occasion and it wasn’t a good one. Plus there’s no parking and we’ve paid $10 on the parking...

If you’re hunting for authentic Neapolitan pizza in Puerto Rico, La Santurcina is the place to be. Just be warned—it’s easy to miss! There’s no big sign outside, just a small decal on the door, but once you find it, you’re in for a treat.
Every pizza here is a perfectly crafted 12-inch pie, baked in a gas-fired stone oven. The Margherita is a standout, with a light, chewy crust, rich tomato sauce, and creamy fior di latte. The flavors are simple, fresh, and absolutely spot on. They stick to the traditional Neapolitan style, and they do it really well.
One surprise highlight? The fried olives. Crispy, salty, and ridiculously good—definitely worth ordering as a starter.
On top of the amazing food, the service is fantastic. The place is small and fills up quickly, but the cozy atmosphere and top-notch hospitality make it worth the wait.
If you love authentic pizza, great service, and a hidden gem vibe, La Santurcina is a must-visit. Just keep an eye out for...
