Chi'Lantro — Restaurant in San Marcos

The first time I had Chi’Lantro I was at a work event and they had their food truck there. It was love at first bites I have been obsessed ever since. I’ve been going to the San Marcos location for a while and the service is always top tier. The restaurant is very clean and basic. It is usually pretty quiet. One important thing to know is the store is cashless. I usually order through the app and I love their rewards program and birthday rewards so signing up for their rewards is a must. The food is a little pricy for fast food but it is really good. My favorite drink is the Basil Peach lemonade. I like to switch up the meals. UPDATE --- Didn't keep my word. Tried it a second time. Wife & I got signature bowls. Plus kids meals. Still eh quality. But now the meat was dry and it's even more over priced. ... We won't be back.

3rd best of that type of restaurant in that immediate area. Took my family there. I feel like it cost $10 more than it should have. Want a rice bowl, go to Fresco. Want an Asian rice bowl, go to Hawaiian Poke. Korean, take the trip to K-Bop. Chi'Lantro does not stand out.

Eh quality + high price = bad. We probably won't be going back.

There was one guy, behind the counter, doing what 5 people usually do. He had a great attitude, hustling and making it look easy, he was checking temps of the food, served several customers efficiently, good was great, my daughter said it was 10xs better service, and food quality than the one she visited in Austin TX 2 months ago. We didn't catch the young man's name. But we were there Saturday 7/6/2024, around 2pm I believe. I only see people move like him in the video games I play on my phone.
