Non-college adults and parents of small kids BEWARE. Staff was friendly but food was horrible and music was so loud you couldn’t hear the cashier repeat your order. I went with a group of 25 and there were children with us. We had to plug some of their ears bc the music was so loud. You also had to scream to hear the person next to you. I ordered the chicken sandwich, an extra fry, a cheese quesadilla, chips and salsa and what I thought were steak fajita tacoS. First, it took 30 mins for the food to come out and there was no quesadilla. Then they informed me that the quesadilla wasn’t on my ticket. Although I ordered it and the cashier repeated my order (apparently without the quesadilla but of course I didn’t know that bc I couldn’t hear what he said over the music). The food took so look so long, I ate a friend’s beef taco first and it was awful, super dry. Our food wasn’t any better. Chicken sandwich was bland, dry and burnt. The fries and cheese quesadilla were probably the only things worth eating. I was surprised to on see only one fajita taco with my order since it cost almost $7. I didn’t get to even taste the taco bc someone, likely a worker, picked up my tray, with the taco on it, and the taco was never to be seen again. It did not look appealing and at that point just wanted to get out of there. I didn’t realize until I left that I never got my guacamole. Oh yeah, there was no ice in the fountain drink machine so I had to go back up to the register to get some. Parking was also a hassle. $50 down the drain. Left there and went straight to Pappasitos. Needless to say, I’ll never go back. Good thing they have a steady flow of new college kids every year to keep them...

Read moreWhile I’ve always loved going to Chimy’s for their unbeatable Happy Hour—great prices without sacrificing quality—I had the pleasure of working with their team recently for something even more special: my college graduation celebration.
Though Chimy’s doesn’t have a private event space, their team, including the managers and even the owner, went above and beyond to help me accommodate a group of 45+ friends and family. We collaborated to create some great drink specials, and guests were able to order their own food from a curated selection I worked on with them. Everything came out fresh and delicious—no complaints, only compliments!
The drink prices remained affordable, and the quality was top-notch, as always. But what truly made the experience stand out was the staff’s professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to work with me to make the night unforgettable. Thanks to this experience, they’ve gained a loyal group of customers for years to come.
Highly recommend Chimy’s—not just for a casual hangout, but for any fun group get-together where great food, drinks, and...
