So me and my son. Decided we wanted to eat Popeyes. We pulled off the highway. And decided to stop in San Marcos. And as we order the speaker in the Drive-Thru was broken couldn't understand them couldn't hear them. They couldn't hear me. So as I am pulling up to the drive-thru window. The lady repeats my order back and I also tell her everything is spicy. She said yes, ma'am. I have it on here spicy. So then she comes and tells me my total is $22? And some change. I told her for the number two and two chicken wraps and a cup of water. She said, yes, ma'am. I go repeat my order back to me and then I guess something went wrong with her computer. And her manager was coming up there and fixing something. So as we're already waiting there approximately 5 minutes, maybe a little more. They come up to me and tell me that now I have to wait for fries, which is no problem. Cuz we love fresh fries. And I made a joke by saying. Oh, well, I would like extra fries. But I didn't really want extra fries. It was just something that I said anyways. So I pull up and I'm waiting. I'm going to waiting for a good. 7to 8 minutes cuz my son was listening to music. They bring us out our order. Totem thank you started driving off and I was getting back on the highway. I was already on 35 when my son. Decides he wants to eat which is no problem. He opens his food up. He has two legs. I was at all you have he goes? Yeah, Mom. I go. Okay, so I called the store. Spoke to a new girl who answered cuz she addressed herself as I'm new. I'm waiting to the manager gets on the phone and I said, okay. So the new girl asked me. Ma'am, what's the problem and I told her? That I had just came from the drive-through and I was on my way to San Antonio and my son started eating and that. I'm upset that the fact that my son got two legs if I'm paying $8 for a meal. I would really expect a breast or thigh. And a leg or a wings. She goes old you just came to the drive-through. I said yes, I did. She goes. Oh, I'm new. I'm waiting for the manager I said, okay. I'll wait on the phone. So I'm waiting and I'm waiting. And I'm waiting. For a long time and then when the manager finally decides to come by the phone, she's telling the new employee what to tell me. And I told the young lady. May I please speak to your manager? She goes. Yes, ma'am. Hold on. The young lady which is the new girl is trying to tell the manager that I want to speak to her on the phone. And as I'm still waiting for her to get on the phone, she hesitated. The manager did and as I am Still waiting to speak to the manager. She finally gets on. And I'm telling her my concerns and what happened? Now to let y'all know I also ordered two chicken wraps spicy. And I was telling her that they weren't spicing. And about my son's order. The woman hangs up on me. I tried to call back multiple times. No answer. I feel like the customer service and the management skills in this Popeyes need to be adjusted. And either get people who qualify or people who want. To do the job as a manager and speak to the customers because I honestly don't think it was a manager that I was talking to because the manager that I spoke to at the window who was helping the other employee that was taking my money. Did he speak good English? And the woman who I spoke to. On the phone was talking to me and she had no accent. I feel like they're training skills need to be looked at. I feel like this Popeye's Chicken. Needs to have a corporate number available. Because the store isn't answering...
Read moreI used to work here months ago, I got fired because the manager, literally didn't like me. (I wish I was joking) I called the owners and tried to get the situation fixed, but they never called me back and they wouldn't let me report the situation to hire-ups because they claim its just 2 owners for the store. This establishment doesn't have an HR department, its just one man that doesn't care about the customers or the employees. I always tried my best to give the customers great experience and fresh food, but it became difficult because of the owners. They forced me to enforce serious methods with the customers; they wanted me to be strict with the customers to the point where I’d be yelled at along with other employees if we are not doing what they say. Both owners don’t care about customer complaints, they simply ignore them and if they cause a scene in the property, they will just call the cops and ban them. There is also favoritism when working there. When I worked there, I noticed they wouldn't hire new people. There are employees that work double shifts and only get a 30 min. break. They even use fake employe names on the schedule to make it seem like they have a full staff. The managers were the only ones "allowed" to do overtime every week (they would end up with over 50 or 60 hours a week) and they never let me and other employees reach 40 hours a week. Food wise, I always tried to get good food to the customers even though the female chef was extremely rude to me and wouldn't allow me to do my job, (whenever I asked her to make more filets or drop more chicken, because we ran out, she would straight up tell me NO. Then when we need them, she finally puts them down and now the order for the customer takes almost 20 minutes.) There are also fruit flies in the mayo they use for the sandwiches, and when I told the owner, he brushed it off saying it happens because of the season. I also noticed some mold in the walk-in next to the cheese and in the same place they store the chicken, but before I could tell the manager about it or the owners, they fired me and wouldn't listen to me. They said every time I was there, I was complaining about something bad happening in the store and that I was annoying, for trying to make it a safer environment for everyone. Thanks to them I got ruined financially, I could have left peaceful with my 2 weeks, but they wouldn't even give me that. It concerns me that this establishment is still up and running, some employees there or not bad and are trying their best but the female manager and the owners are trashy people that only care about money. They don’t care about the customers or their employees, I recommend going to another popeyes because life-threatening food could be served and the owners don’t care about the safety of their customers. Here are the pictures of the mold from the walk in where they store 90%...
Read morei usually come to this popeyes because it’s the one closest to me. i have a bunch of rewards points from a large catering order i made at one point so i use my points to get me and my son some lunch from time to time. i’ve never had any issues until now. i placed an order and used my rewards to get food and when i went to pick it up the woman at the window told me i can only use one reward for my order. “my boss said you can only use one rewards.” this is ridiculous because i’ve always done this before and now they won’t let me. her boss couldn’t even come to the window to tell themselves of their “new rules” i didn’t see a sign or any small print to let me know i couldn’t do this. they only let me get one part of my order. when i called to get the store number they were quick to get me off the phone because im sure they’re aware i was going to make a complaint , i don’t even think they gave me the right store number. they didn’t give me a receipt either. needless to say i’ve never had an issue to use my points at any location before. and if it wasn’t allowed to redeem multiple rewards wouldn’t the app block me from doing so ??? and on top of that they didn’t even return my points. so not only did i not get my food , i wasted my points. what’s the point of earning points if they’re not going to let me use them. i’ve made bigger orders before at other locations and have never had this issue. i can clearly see why they have so many one star reviews!!!!! hopefully this doesn’t happen to...
