Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in San Marcos

Soup was Cold not warm. I come back through get my soups heated up in a microwave. I go sit down and eat my reheated soup and it's still cold so I go back around girl tells me at the drive-thru that she only put them in for 20 seconds as I had two of the loaded potato soups. I had asked why their soups aren't hot and basically because they are closing soon they already took down the soup machine or whatever they cook them in. Then she finally gets it somewhat right the outside felt really hot but apparently they were just lukewarm once I sat down so it's just not a good experience for almost $12 who wants reheated soups you might as well as an owner of the store instead of being lazy about things you might as well once you take that soup machine off not even serve any soup.

I don't think this falls on the workers there I'm sure they're probably told to shut off the soup and machine at a certain time I mean that soup had to have been sitting there for at least an hour cuz it was literally cold thank you for the girl at the window for putting up with me however when I order soup yes just as any other customer they want...

Wife and I stopped here for a quick bite before shopping at the outlet. Wife not too hungry so 9rdered a grilled cheese sandwich - which is only listed under the kids meal, for $4.50. After paying and taking a table, I check the receipt, got charged s8.99, 1 dollar less than what my sandwich with meat cost. When the (very young and not very intelligent based on how she responded to my order, the Albaquerque Turkey, she need the menu #, 12 BTW) brought out our meal, my wife asked about the charge because she order a grilled cheese (remember, the only place it is referenced is under the kids meal). Young dumb employee told my wife because she was not a kid, she could not order that. I should have hollered for a manager at that point but it just wasn't worth it. Wife got a Schotzskys sandwich with cheese and all the veggies you get on any meat sandwich. The food was not bad, but un'freakin'believable an employee thinks an adult cannot order from the kids menu. So my advise for adults not so hungry that want to order from the kids menu, be specific when ordering. If they tell you, you can't, ask for the mgr....

I guess, we were unlucky. super hungry after shopping. Walked in to 3 people in line and no cashier. The lady finally arrived from the kitchen. Turned out, they had some issues with both registers, and drive through. That we had to be guessing, no communication from the staff. The guy from the back came to try to fix, but he was very stressed, when I asked if we were able to use the promo via drive through, since he stated it was coming back. His answer was: “gonna take a while to restart”. Which was not my question at all. Anyway, I know it’s frustrating when the computers don’t work, but the staff shouldn’t just be walking around like they are passers by and not give a crap about awaiting customers. Let us know what’s going on. We ended up leaving and heading to the closest Schlotzsky’s location. Very poor experience. P.S. -while the whole mess, I asked for water cup. But even the e water tasted really bad, as it was from sewage or smth. all tables seemed to be unclean. my mom, while waiting, ended up wiping the table for...
