We have just moved t Sanford from Omaha Nebraska a little over a month ago. We had our favorites in Omaha, but have not yet found anything in the Sanford area that we likes until this evening. Ciro’s NY Style pizza is our new go-to for delicious pizza. About the. the place itself, it's small and quaint with about 12 tables seating 4 each. It appeared to us that it is family-owned and operated. Our server (didn't get her name, my bad), was very welcoming and bubbly. The rest of the staff was as well very friendly. We ordered our pie and got something to drink and got to watch our pie being made. It came out hot and looked wonderful. First bite and I knew this was my new favorite pizza. The crust is supper thin and had a buttery flavor that made you want to eat it all and not.leave it on the plate. A savory sauce and quality toppings (half cheese only and half sausage/pepperoni/onion). It was so good that I wanted to eat it all, but was full after two large pieces from our 18” pie. The entire staff asked how we liked it and thanked us for.coming in. If you have not tried Ciro’s, please do as you too will love it. They also have a nice menu of other Italian specialties that looked really good.

We have been frequent customers of Ciro’s and have always enjoyed the food, even when prices increased, as we understood the quality was worth it. However, during our recent visit, we experienced some shady practices that have left us very disappointed. We ordered meals during the $15 pasta night, as advertised on their Facebook page, with an additional $5–$6 for breaded chicken added to the rigatoni alla vodka. Despite this, we were charged $29 for the rigatoni alla vodka, and the price was never corrected. Additionally, we were initially charged $18 for the baked rigatoni instead of the advertised $15. While they adjusted that price by $3 after we raised the issue, the correction felt dismissive, as if we wouldn’t notice. While the food is still good, this level of dishonesty is unacceptable. Overcharging customers and failing to properly address the discrepancies is frustrating and disappointing. As loyal customers, we’ve always supported this restaurant, but after this experience, we will unfortunately be going elsewhere. We hope management addresses these issues for the sake of other patrons, as this is not the standard we’ve come to expect from Ciro’s.

Ciro's NY Pizza left a lasting impression on me with their exceptional service and exciting upcoming changes. From the moment I stepped in, the staff's dedication to providing an outstanding experience was evident. The anticipation for their Renos adds an extra layer of excitement, showcasing their commitment to improvement. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the pizza. Our choice was the pepperoni, and it exceeded all expectations. The crust had the ideal balance of crispiness and chewiness, a testament to the craftsmanship that goes into each pie. The sheer size of the pizza was impressive, making it a fantastic value for the quality. Ciro's NY Pizza is a haven for pizza enthusiasts, and my experience has solidified it as a go-to spot. If you appreciate excellent service, an inviting atmosphere, and, of course, phenomenal pizza, this is a must-visit establishment. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to indulge in more of their culinary delights.

Upon arriving at Ciro's NY Pizzaria you think it's like any other italian Pizzaria restaraunt but then you become pleasantly surprised with the quality and talent in this sweet family run environment. We had an amazing experience at Ciro's ... When we first arrived it was a bit quiet and we chose our table...we had looked at the menu on our phone on the way over so we were pretty ready to order our appetizer. Eva was our server, she was so nice and very accommodating in helping us make our selections...we first ordered the Calamari...and for our entre' my husband and I were going to share the Chicken a la Ciro and my son wanted a personal pizza with meatballs...while waiting which wasn't long we chatted with the other servers who were so nice and very friendly. The Calamari came out fresh and hot! A large platter piled high with succulent fried sqiud with red sauce was more than enough for 3 to share. The squid was so tender and the batter had just enough crisp to it...the sauce was a tasty accompaniment as well. Then our main meals came out...what a great presentation and the aroma of the lemon and butter sauce was enticing! 2 large pounded thin breasts of chicken made crisp to perfection and juicy sitting on top of a large platter of spaghetti coated nicely in the sauce...an amazing thought that that entre is really meant for one was incredible...and perfect to share! The pizza at 10" was a great size for one with fresh melted mozzarella and the sliced meatballs and sauce. Also enough to have 3 healthy slices and bring the rest home...we were very impressed when one of the chefs saw us sharing the chicken and brought us a side of the lemon butter sauce with even more mushrooms! Thank you!!! The meal itself was a total delight and very filling. For dessert we ordered the 6 Zeppolis which were fresh and hot covered in that snow white powdered sugar...crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and total sugar sweetness all around it brought me back to my Noni's kitchen when I was little. My husband and son each had a mini Canoli and of course I tasted the filling which was done to perfection! Overall the dinner was a pleasurable and delicious journey...with our servers and the chefs at the ready to make it a completely memorable meal. We will definitely be returning in the near future. For us living 40 minutes away in Mt. Dora it was definitely worth the drive. To Don, Eva, Dalene and everyone working so hard to give your dinner patrons a great experience...We say "Well Done!!!...

Terrible... absolutely disgusting place: very dirty too. Walked in for dine in today and ordered pizza and wings (I requested drums only), waitress comes over then says sorry we only have 5 drums and 5 wings, we would have to actually make the drums to complete a ten piece and they’re frozen so we cant do it” really? Ok..so you mean to tell me you have to actually cook food at the restaurant? And you can’t do that? She said “sorry we don’t have it and we can’t” Ok...so then scratch that order.. so then she comes back and says ok I spoke to the manager we will make them for you.. ok so go ahead. As I’m waiting for my order, I’m looking straight into the kitchen prep table... get this, the guy preparing my wings some tall skinny guy with a hat is cutting up stuff from the prep table and stuffing his mouth and licking his fingers!!! What the hell, that’s beyond disgusting and repulsive!! Then the other cook comes up and try’s whatever the guy has cut up on the prep table stuffs his mouth too I think it was sausage or some meat product..I guess they felt me staring at them so hard because they noticed I was watching them and then they turned around acting like they were working! I literally told my husband lm not eating. We tell the waitress that we want to cancel it all and she mumbles complaining in Spanish to the guy making the pizza up front “oh they don’t want their food now”, the guy responds and then she says well the food is almost ready and we said no we don’t want it, she says but it’s almost ready and I snap at that point and tell her, I don’t care if the food is ready or getting ready I don’t appreciate the people preparing my food stuffing their mouths back there and licking their fingers, that’s disgusting and unprofessional!! they’re hungry? Then tell them to Take a break and go eat at a table not on the prep table. She quickly charged us for the 2 cokes and had nothing to say. I honestly don’t know what management thinks that is normal and sanitary, oh and for the owners reading this, I am complaining to the DBPR, you probably don’t even have servesafe certified staff,...

I used to love this place but it went downhill after this new partner came in. He was extremely rude after I called in to order my food after I clearly stated when I ordered in that we planned to dine in. I have NEVER ever had any other place have a problem with this. I always do it so I don’t waste time since my toddler is very difficult sitting still without food for long periods of time. Over the phone they said it was fine. But when I got there, this rude individual came out with the worst attitude and told me I can’t do that and insisted that I need to order once I arrive if I plan to dine in, not over the phone. He insisted so much I told him I can just leave if it’s such an issue. He said no stay but kept complaining about how this is how his waitresses make money at which I said I let them know over the phone if it was an issue they should have said something to me he responded it’s obvious. At this point we made the decision to leave and eat in the car. Firstly, I had planned on still tipping I never said I wanted to just have a box and sit and eat I just ordered ahead of time so it can be ready to avoid waiting long. Secondly, if you’re so worried about their wages how about you pay them a decent wage instead of having them depend on your customer’s tips? Bumped up prices, awful service and underpaying your workers. Capitalism at its finest. Sadly, I lost my favorite pizza place because I will never return. Your place may look better but it’s service is worse than ever. Please don’t come here. Don’t support...
