Today 2/15/23 at 6:30pm We went to Hollerbach's German Market Deli to get 3 cups of cappuccino ,like we usually do we live super close to this deli and we like to enjoy Downtown Sanford area. I asked a employee an older lady to open the door for me i am a handicap person and use a wheelchair to move and once she open the door i said thank you very much and her answer was in a rude way ahaaa!! and she had a not so happy face at all. I ignored her and just imagine she was having a bad day. Once we get inside there where two employees (a young lady a younger gentlemen) and both of them where just ignoring our presence. Not even how can we help you today!! Not customer friendly at all So i approach the younger lady and ask her we wanted 3 cappuccinos please and her answer was I WILL DO THEM WHEN EVER I CAN AND LOOKED AWAY !!!! I look at my wife and we where in shock for a minute !!! i just told my wife lets go. I just want to share my experience so the owners of this place can make a better selection in the personal they hire .Just very rude and very unprofessional the way we got treated today in this deli .You have to have education specially if you are running a place where the customer is bringing the income for everyone working there. Very sad feeling being treated this way we are people of God and wish no harm to no one .But hopefully the owner looks at this incidents and makes whatever adjustments needed to be made in order for this not to happen to know nobody...
Read moreHistoric Sanford, FL. Okay, it’s HUGE and has a vast supply compared to other stores carrying German products in the US. The deli counter alone has fresh entrees, hard-to-find German sausages, German cheeses, sandwiches, and unusual desserts you can’t find elsewhere, so hostesses take note: If you want to impress your guests at your next party serve up some of these unique delicacies on your finest charcuterie board. And don’t forget the cookies and candies. At Christmas my husband used to order a tray of German cookies for his office from our favorite German store in Ft. Lauderdale (which was 1/3 the size of this store) because German cookies are so festive and different.
Lindt puts out a special Christmas chocolate (Weinachts) you can only find in Germany, or at specialty stores. We’ll definitely be checking back here in late November for that.
They have all kinds of beer and wine! You can get your food warmed up at the counter and eat it in the cafe area surrounded by a classy display of wines.
They have seasonings, canned goods, cookbooks and sauce packets to help you make your own German food at home. They also have beauty products...
Read moreThe market is very nice and the employees are really good at their job. There are a selection of items from Germany in the store but not ones I was looking for, there's a lot of candy and chocolate and I expected a better selection of items. I purchased a bein stich and a black forest cake and some Berliner's, we asked how old the berliners were they said they were from yesterday so they're selling old berliners which is wrong and they don't taste as good. The bein stich looked fantastic but did not taste like a German bein stich it was way too heavy and the black forest cake again presentation wise look good but it was very bland tasting and didn't taste like a black forest cake should it was a letdown. I also purchased some sausages from the deli area which again they have a very limited selection I expected a larger selection of sausages and I bought some cheese and it was again a very limited selection your choices are very limited. So the question is would I come back to shop here and sadly the...
