Despite the reviews on Yelp and some other of the reviews, you will to excuse the bad reviewers. Me and my brother are foodies. When it comes to food, we know our food and we know if it's a good value and/or is it that good. Since, I have been in Irvine, I have wanted to try out different cuisines and see what is all the fuss about the multicultural restaurants that Irvine has to offer. My brother suggested to come here and try the food here. I had no expectations coming here, because I have never tried this kind of food before. As I began to read through the menu, My expectations grew. I knew I was in for a treat to try a different way of how paella is being cooked. I saw on Yelp, that the portion wasn't great. But, after eating the paella here, wow.. as a big guy.. I have a big appetite. I was full. Now, the setting has to also make you want to come back again.. The ambience is quite nice with the music playing in the background. You feel that you are engulfed into the culture. I love it about this restaurant. This is something that restaurants lack nowadays which is cultural music. That thing that transforms and make your food experience that intense and memorable. Great job guys! plus the service was a...

This place is NOT worth the price. Please do not encourage their prices and bad service. First, the service is slow and not good at all. It took so long to bring things out, we were finished halfway with food before requested items came out. They charge a 20% tip automatically. My father did not notice that so they double charged for a tip. OK, our fault. This place is extremely overpriced. The bread they brought out to the table was COLD. I asked to warm it, I was cold, it was cold, and they said they don't serve warm bread. OK. Really? You can't pop it in an oven?! Next the calamari. I wish I took a photo of it. It was like the bottom of the bag pieces you should throw away. Each piece was so tiny you needed a fork to pick it up. Calamari had two shrimp pieces. This is an example of the overpriced garbage that is the common theme of restaurants these days. So disappointing. Some of the dished had a good flavor, but I really don't understand or have sympathy for restaurants that cannot serve a decent portion of even cheap food. I swear this was so disappointing, I am writing off restaurants...

If I could give this place half a Star.....I'd give them 1/4 of star, should've taken the time to read reviews before I decided to listen to my Mom and visit this place, When I started reading the Menu, the prices (way too high)made me think of generous size portions ,how wrong I was when plates were brought to our table, could only speak for what I ordered,my Fish Ceviche looked colorless, pale, and without even trying it,i knew would not like it,onions were obviously either sliced(thick, not fresh)cold or were stored in the fridge, the only flavor I found was heavy salt 🧂,fish over cooked by the lemon juice, ordered mine extra spicy/hot 🌶️,it wasn't even a bit spicy. Wife ordered a Chicken Causa....it had two very fine layers of mashed potatoes dough, the Chicken stuffing had more carrots than anything, did not dare to try that anyways,my eyes kept telling me DON'T EVEN TRY IT. Would not go back for sure, I don't wanna know who suggested my Mom to even give this place a chance. Food way over priced/rated,staff could have been the nicest but that doesn't make the food...

The environment is cozy and confortable. It has several noticeable and beautiful pictures showing different parts of Peru. Peruvian music is heard all over the place which gives the idea you are literally eating in a Peruvian market. The server was awesome, and workers are aware of the things you need all the time. We were served bread and butter to start munching. Chicha morada which is a well-known Peruvian beverage was good and tasty. Causa Rellena had a showy presentation, flavor was good. Ceviche had a decent flavor and fish tasted good. We were served one slice of sweet potato and two of potato which was odd because Peruvian Ceviche is eaten with SWEET POTATO and never is replaced with potato. Overall Ceviche was not as expected. Jalea was okay, variety of fish, octopus and shrimp. We only received two yucas fritas though. Sauces were not served. For dessert we ordered Lucuma Ice Cream with chocolate Cake. Kids loved it. Flavor was high standard.

I visited with friend who wanted to try real Peruvian food. We google a good restaurant near us and we find this one. We ordered Seco de Cabrito with Tacu Tacu and Estofado de Pollo. The meat of the Seco was "ok" but the sauce had a lot of green onions. The Tacu Tacu was full of onions and extra green onions. It did not look like Tacu Tacu. It tasted like rice with gravy and green onions, no good at all! I did not finished and I complained but the waitress said this was their style. ( No Authentic) The Estofado was too rich. You could taste the cilantro and with little flavor. My friend was disappointed and could not finish it. Overall it was a very bad experience. The total for both dishes was around $46. As a Peruvian I was expecting better. I will not come back to this restaurant again.

First time visiting and trying Peruvian food. That evening, it seems like there was only one waiter and he did a great job attending to everyone. He took time to help us explain the menu with what is popular and what his suggestions were. All the while, making sure the other tables were not neglected. Fantastic service beginning to end. We had a delicious green dipping "Aji" sauce for our bread, it tasted very fresh. I had paella before, but I wanted to try a Peruvian spin, so I ordered the Arroz con Marisco. It came out within 10-12 mins, served on a silver platter and every bite was amazing! All the spices and herbs worked together perfectly with the rice and seafood. Definitely the best paella on my list. I'm craving it right this moment! Will definitely return!
